Valaree (Jodi) Flake purchased this house in 2007
Keith bought the AJ House in 2007 since it's in the middle of our Desert Ranch, and he needed a place to stay, while he works cattle in Apache Junction. We have a home, ranch and office in Snowflake too. Jodi teaches school in Snowflake and commuted to the AJ Home for 2 years, while she finished her Masters in Music at ASU in 2010. Keith and I and our kids only use the home about a third of the year, so we wanted to share it with other families, needing a place to stay in the East Phoenix area.
We love the open, comfortable floor plan, where we can sleep 10 in our home and the accessibility to most activities and attractions in the East Phoenix valley. We enjoy the gated-community club house, parks and pool and getting out of the snow and cold in Snowflake, during the winter and spring months. It's a great vacation - get-a-way home for a weekend.
This lovely home was exactly what we needed for our family to visit Arizona for 5 weeks. The home was clean and in a quiet neighborhood.
Loved this little home! We will always stay here as it fit our needs to a tee!
This is the best bargain vacation rental in the Phoenix area; it is in a newer subdivision nestled close to the Superstition Mountains.
From the elegant entry to the walled backyard, to the generous supplies of household necessities, you will be pleased with this choice.
Pleased enough to stay in some of the time instead of rushing out the door every day.
We enjoyed being able to hang out, sleep and ear together Worked ok for 8 people
Our family of 7 found this house perfect. It was just as described and had everything we needed. Owners gave detailed directions and instruction and were responsive. It was a great launchpad for our days tubing the salt river and exploring the Apache Trail! Easy to find and close to everything.
The overall experience was wonderful! It was comfy and well kept. My husband is particular about staying anywhere but home and he was so comfortable and relaxed it made for a great weekend. The beds were so comfortable it accommodated us very well everything we needed was right there. Was home away from home. We will be staying here every time we have to take a trip to the valley!
The house is in a nice area. However, a dog barks alot and is close to the house. Also, was not given a time to get into the home on day of arrival. It was being cleaned at 9:30am when I arrived. The cleaning lady informed me arrival time was suppose to be 2:00 pm. That would have been helpful information to have.
