Beautifully refurbished by an owner who insisted on modern conveniences with while maintaining that feeling of history. It has a beautiful screened in porch; new appliances; full sized kitchen; washer and dryer; new bed and furnishings; TV and wifi; outdoor patio, shower, and grill; original wood floors and walls; split air...and so much more. Enjoy a bit of history with the convenience of 2015 renovation. Cottage is equipped with new dishes, appliances, courtesy basket of soap, shampoo, hair dryer and many more conveniences. The cottage is within walking distance of great restaurants. It is close to everything but not on a main street where you would be disturbed by traffic even on the busiest of weekends. The home survived the 1900 storm and was separated from the house to which it had been attached. It sat completely unused for years but has been completely resurrected with all of the latest comforts.

About Lisa Manuele
The current owners were married in Galveston and decided to relocate to the Island a few years ago from the Great White North. The weather and the feel of the island was irresistible. They love the history and that there is always something to do in Galveston. They hope you will love Galveston and the cottage as much as they do.
Lisa Manuele purchased this Cottage in 2017
Why Lisa Manuele chose East End Historic District
The house was rescued and completely restored and expanded by the previous owner that grew up and lives in Galveston. She was an interior designer in Houston for years. She also has a minor in architecture. The cottage was redone and furnished as if the then owner herself would utilize the property. She owned another historic home in Galveston previously, and it was very important that this cottage, although modernized, retained many of its original components. The woman that restored the property had her eye on this property for 15 years and it came up for sale she could not resist the opportunity to renovate the property and to preserve it for Galveston and now for people who want to truly enjoy Galveston and all of the charm and history it has to offer. We fell in love with our cottage the minute we entered. Our love of historic architecture motivated us to purchase the property, and we want to share it.

Wonderful historic cottage in the heart of historic Galveston.
We've stayed at several places including hotels and Condos in Galveston over the years. I would say this was our most enjoyable because of the mixture of history, charm and the layout of the cottage. My wife and two kids all enjoyed it! Thanks for a great stay!
Thank you for the review. We are glad you enjoyed the cottage.
Love the way this old house was remodeled.
We really enjoyed our stay. The house is in a great neighborhood and we spent some time walking around looking at all the old houses in the erea.
Wonderful! Clean! Plenty of room!
Wonderful place to stay! The history behind the cottage was fascinating. We had plenty of room. Everything we needed was provided in this cottage. Safe location and close to restaurants, the strand, and the beach. Loved the privacy.
Very quaint and perfect for a nice quiet home away for home!
Very clean and everything you could need!!
We are happy you enjoyed the cottage. Thank you.
Such a peaceful location and charming little home, we truly enjoyed our stay and look forward to renting this location again
This is a wonderful cottage for two! The screened-in porch lights and inside lights were left on for our late arrival. The king size bed was very comfortable, and the night stands with hidden outlets were something I will shop for myself! The kitchen was stocked with every utensil/appliance you might need. I was especially surprised by the fruit, wine and local beer, coffee and tea choices, cream choices, kind bars, and more available for us to us. The linens, bath towels and beach towels were top quality. Loved the shower head! We appreciate the LG washer dryer, too. This is the nicest vrbo rental I have ever stayed in. We will be back!
Our adorable cottage is located in the East End Historic District. If you enjoy historic architecture, you are in luck. Just right outside the door are many examples of our preserved history. Take a walk around. It is the best way to see the district.
