About the property

Two Bedroom Two Bath, Fully Equipped Kitchen, Laundry, Wood Stove, Satellite TV

The ‘Homestead’ is located in Historic Grand Lake Village. This cozy log cabin is the perfect Colorado family vacation or a romantic getaway. Known as the 'Western Gateway' to Rocky Mountain National Park, Grand Lake is Colorado's largest natural lake. The village with its old west buildings and historic boardwalk will make you feel as though you stepped back in time.

The log cabin with its “gone by era rustic charm exterior” gives way to a beautifully decorated interior with all the modern amenities. Its two bedroom two bath, fully equipped kitchen, laundry, wood stove, satellite TV and internet, makes a great vacation for a family of 6 or a couple on a romantic getaway.

Imagine in the summer/fall enjoy a morning cup of coffee out on the deck around the fire table as you watch the sunrise over the mountains or warming up to the wood stove after returning from a day of snowmobiling.

Take a short walk to the historic Grand Lake Village where you will find restaurants, bars and quaint stores. Continue your walk to the sandy beach, dip your toes in the water or sit and watch the beautiful sail boats glide across the deep blue lake. No matter what season it is, Grand Lake Colorado has an abundance of activities year round.

In Grand Lake you will find activities for everyone; Access snowmobile trails directly from the cabin in the winter. Horseback riding, kayaking, golfing, mountain biking, hiking, live theater, and much more. Rocky Mountain National Park offers miles of hiking and skiing trails.

About Jennifer Remy

In the fall of 2005 we came to Grand Lake to view the trees and have a nice dinner. While walking through the town we stopped to look at properties for sale at one of the real estate offices. As we stood there day dreaming about someday owning our own cabin the owner of the real estate office asked if we had any questions. We ask a few questions about the town and the area. She then told us about a property she had just listed and told us where to find it if we want to go take a look. We politely said thank you and that we would go take a look. We had no intentions of going to look as we were only day dreaming. As we turned to leave, she said “wait let me take you there” now we felt obligated, so we said what the heck it can’t hurt to look. Needless to say by the time we left Grand Lake that night we had put an offer on the cabin and the rest is history. I guess you can say “we came to Grand Lake to have dinner, but instead we bought a cabin”.

Jennifer Remy purchased this cabin in 2005

Excellent location. Cozy cabin. Couldn’t have asked for more.

This was a perfect location and property for our family vacation. Located walking distance from Grand Lake, we were able to head downtown every night to grab some ice cream and walk through the shops. Also, we were no more than a 15 minute drive from the hiking trail heads we chose (Adams Falls>Lone Pine Lake, Cascade Falls, Green Mtn-Onahu Creek Loop). The cabin was perfectly maintained and was a great place to come back to after a long day to share some stories, make dinner, play games, etc. Would definitely come back. Thanks!

Great Cabin

  • 5 of 5

Great and cozy place. The kitchen island and living room couch are huge and fit all of us easily and comfortably. The bathrooms were updated and very nice. It was very close to the lake and all the small town. We loved it. Also there was a forest fire close by reported on the news a few days before our stay and the host got back to me right away and continued with updates.

Lovely Cabin

  • 4 of 5

We had a wonderful stay, the cabin was very comfortable and clean. Would recommend this to anyone, it was close to downtown Grand Lake. Enjoyed our stay, due to the fire danger we didn't use the fire pit.

Heavens Hideaway

We absolutely loved the beautiful cabin. Heavenly views. Peace and quiet of the little town. Our highlight was seeing three moose in RMNP. Feeling blessed God is good. Thank you.
