2. UNBEATABLE (REALLY- WE CAN'T BE BEAT) CONDO LOCATION: MERE STEPS FROM THE SAND IN A SMALL QUIET COMPLEX
This unit is situated in the high-demand high-end Coquina complex. You can’t get closer to the beach than in the Coquina. Built right off the beach— you are five steps from the pool deck (pool deck is at the center of the complex) till your toes can curl around the sand and break for the waves. In all other complexes (besides our sister property) you have long hard wooden boardwalks that separate you and your views from the beach.
You will also find that our complex is slow (we have 42 units only which about half are available to rent and the other half often sit vacant). This means it is not unusual to enjoy a dip in the pool alone, or to have the tennis courts, grilling deck, or backyard beach to yourself. The other high-rise complexes on this beach can’t make this claim!
With beautifully manicured gardens, well maintained common areas, and friendly on-site manager and maintenance people, once you discover Coquina, you will never be satisfied staying anywhere else again (or so claims the hundreds of guests that have been coming for 30+ years).

The two floor layout is extremely functional, providing plenty of room for an ideal vacation relaxing indoors, as well as a base camp for outdoor exploration and sight seeing. The first floor boasts a bathroom with large walk-in shower off the entry (so you can easily shower off the sand from a long day at the beach). The kitchen is spacious and functional with stainless steel appliances, well stocked cupboards, and views of the beach making it easy to prepare tasty and memorable culinary creations as you watch the colors change into dusk on the beach. The beautiful tile floors extend through the entire first floor, and are a lovely counterpoint to the relaxed and easy-going decor. The dining and living room are perfectly situated for entertaining and enjoying a show on the new flatscreen HDTV while you enjoy dinner, or face towards the ocean instead to watch the never-ending show the beach and nature provides. Better yet, enjoy your dinner or a drink out on the private balcony as you listen to the gulls cry, the waves roll, and feel the ocean breezes assuring you that life is good.
Upstairs you have two bedrooms and a full bathroom in between rooms, making for comfortable living spaces. The master bedroom boasts a king bed, flat screen television, and breathtaking views of the Atlantic ocean from a wall of windows! The second bedroom features two full-size beds, a new smart TV (available to hook up a DVD player, bring a gaming system, or stream from, but not hooked up to cable service), and beautiful coastal decor that will set just the right tone for your guests or children. This room also features views of the Intracoastal waterway where you can enjoy the brilliant sunsets.

The manager of this unit calls this complex her home as well, as she has been coming for over 17 years and now manages a handful of units at the Coquina and Crescent Sandpiper. Don’t mess with big companies who have never set foot inside your unit, deal with someone who can easily answer your questions about the unit, complex, and area and is available night and day to help you with all aspects of your vacation. It takes 5-10 minutes to book. Before check-in the manager emails you all the information you need for check-in, plus ideas of things to do in the area. This unit is equipped with an electronic lock, so no need to stop at management offices, align your hours with theirs, or try to fumble around for a key at an off-site location in the dark— just punch in your access code to the lock on the unit and start your vacation! My name is Marisa and I am a boutique-type manager that specializes in managing a small handful of units in the two best complexes on Crescent Beach (the only two right on the beach— just six steps off the pool deck to sand, as opposed to all others that have long hard wooden boardwalks and stretches of dunes separating you from the sand and the sea). While I’m different from working with an owner (this is what I do for a living so I am fast to answer emails, always available by phone/text, and treat this as a business) I am a lot like an owner as well, in that I have been staying in this complex and on this beach for over 17 years myself (my parents own there)!
I have stayed in most of the units I manage and know the complex, beach, and area as well as I know my hometown. Renting with me means you won’t mess with big companies who have never set foot in our complex, much less your unit. It means that if there are problems, you have 24 hour access to me to help you. It also means that I am here to help you plan your perfect vacation for your group or family.

Crescent Beach on Anastasia Island is like a secret we hesitate to share, and yet can't keep to ourselves. The beaches are not very busy, and can sometimes even be vacant (where else does that happen?)! It's surrounded by entertainment and adventure and over 365 restaurants, and yet we are always content just breathing in all our condo and the ocean out the door has to offer!
Our least expensive unit but still completely remodeled throughout in 2015! Great design, great views, great price point!
This condo was fantastic!! When we entered there was soft music playing and everything was super clean. The furnishing were just as seen online. There were plenty of towels (even a few beach towels), blankets, and pillows. I was very glad that we had the use of beach chairs, umbrella and even a boogie board. All appliances were in very good working order and there was dish detergent, some paper towels and dishwasher pods. Every light bulb worked and there were spare ones in the closet. I loved having the touch key pad and not having to worry with keeping up with a key. I have rented a more expensive beach house before that wasn't nearly this clean. I booked for next year before I left - that tells you how much I loved it. Also, it was so convenient to the pool and short walk to beach.
My husband and I are big seafood cookers. We knew we'd go to a seafood market and get some fresh shrimp and grouper. I brought my own BIG cast iron cooker, oil thermometer, etc. I forgot the long handle slotted spoon for getting shrimp out of the pot. LOL this is the only thing the condo didn't have but it did have some pierced serving spoons. I think this was the best priced vacation we've had in a long time. Thank you!!! We'll definitely recommend this unit to friends.
Just spent a week here and loved it. The location is perfect. 20 minutes to St Augustine and 20 SECONDS to the beach! Literally step through the pool deck gate onto the sand. This beach was very clean, not crowded, and the sand was soft white sand. No problems being barefoot. The manager is top notch. She will answer any and all questions quickly and is a local so the info she gives about things to do and places to eat are invaluable. The condo was spotless. No musty or beachy smells and very clean. The kitchen is stocked with everything you could possibly need. Pool toys and beach chairs and umbrellas are there to use so literally just pack your clothes and toiletries. I was a little concerned about not having a washer/dryer in unit, but there is an onsite laundry right by the office. I ended up not needing it anyway. This was by far the best rental property I have stayed in. Don't miss the Wednesday Market at the pier. Locals with handmade items including clothing, jewelry, and food. (We bought some of each). Also fresh produce.
Lastly let me say I felt safe here, at the condo as well as in and around St.Augustine. Hope to be able to return soon.
The location is awesome. You can almost touch the ocean from the balcony. And, you can lie in bed and watch the waves roll right up to the pool. The owner gives such nice personalized attention to her renters. The condo is well decorated with just a smidge of beach decor. Not like past places I've stayed where the decor is cheesy beach and wicker or owner hand-me-downs. St. Augustine is just 20 minutes away, but not close enough for the beach to be packed. We had a wonderful stay!
This home is beautiful, the grounds are impeccable, and for a family with small kids it could not have been more convenient! Bring your swimsuits, beach towels, and smiles, because everything you need is taken care of. There were nice Tommy Bahama beach chairs, a boogie board, umbrella, and sand toys at the home. The kitchen had all of the essentials, plus dishes to bake and store leftovers. The beach here is quiet and clean...perfect for boogie boarding, kite flying, shelling, or just relaxing with a glass of wine while you watch the dolphins cruise up and down the shore. On a more personal note, we accidentally left behind our daughters beloved blankie. I contacted Marisa, the property manager, and within minutes they had located the blanket and were shipping it to us. You are dealing with real people, who care about your vacation, when you book this home.
We loved every minute of our stay here and are already making plans to return!
Within fifteen minutes of this condo is everything you could ask for! World famous golf courses, historical sites, sports and recreational opportunities, shopping, theater, and more restaurants that you could eat at if you chose a different one each day of the year!!! St. Augustine is the oldest city in America. The cobblestone streets are quaint and attract thousands of visitors a year both for it's rich history as well as it's hundreds of different entertainment and recreational opportunities. So whether you enjoy adventure, history, wining and dining, or spend all your time on this quiet island and it's pristine beaches-- you won't run out of things to do!
