The house was originally a alpende Burra (animal stable) built in the late nineteenth century. In its restoration it has respected the traditional architecture integrating Fuerteventura in the landscape.
The house is small but cozy and all its services are environmentally friendly (solar energy for hot water and biological treatment of waste water utilized for irrigation).
Ideal for rest and relaxation, quiet and isolated from urban areas, who can enjoy the peace and tranquility that still has the island of Fuerteventura.

We had a very enjoyable two weeks staying at Casa de la Burra.
The location is very good position for exploring all of the Island.
Marta is perfect hostess, with lots of information for places to visit.

The casa is charming, plenty big enough for 2, in a quiet location. There is a wide view over plain and hills to the west, and a [usually] sunny terrace, sheltered from the prevailing wind, adjoining the kitchen. The casa is easy to reach from the main road, and only the last 200 meters is unpaved. It is next to the owner's home, but feels private due to garden layout.
The casa is comfortably furnished, though cooking facilities are basic.
The owner, Marta, is very helpful with practical information and ideas for discovering Fuerteventura. Many thanks Marta for your warm welcome and your sincere enthusiasm for Fuerteventuran culture and natural environment.
Weg van alle massatoerisme en toch alles wat het eiland te bieden heeft binnen bereik. de ligging is erg gunstig voor uitstapjes zowel naar noord als naar zuid. (een auto is wel een must). Erg rustig gelegen, meer dan voldoende privacy, ondanks dat het huis van de eigenaar op hetzelfde perceel staat. Het huisje is compleet en alles is er, maar verwacht geen super deluxe uitvoering. Het doet heel gezellig en knus aan. prima voor 2 personen. de eigenares had goeie tips voor uitstapjes en restaurants.
Advice on arrival at the Casa de la Burra Airport:
-Exit The airport towards Puerto del Rosario.
-Take Diversion (bypass) towards Antigua (FV20)
-In Roundabout continue towards Antigua to the village of Casillas del Angel
-A Output Casillas del Angel, from the gas station, take the turnoff Betancuria and Los Llanos de la Concepción (FV30)
- At the entrance of the town of Los Llanos de la Concepción (indicative poster stone right) take a left shift, according to an indicative yellow sign 'Rural Accommodation'
- Then take the next turning to the left and finally a detour to the right (unpaved) that leads to the house. And they are also marked

Located in the nearby town of Tefía. Wide sample of the typical architecture of Fuerteventura, and traditional rural life and different trades.
• Barranco de Los Molinos (13 km)
It stresses in the context of Fuerteventura arid by the abundance of water, which continuously runs along its banks and oozes on some slopes. Thanks to this it has lush vegetation and is visited by numerous birds such as guirre.
The surroundings of the House of Burra is a beautiful flat landscape with rolling hills, typical of the central part of the island.
The vegetation is typical of the island: cactus, agaves, palm trees, aloe, gorse and some fruits such as figs, peaches, grenadiers and vines.
