Photos and Description of this 4 bedroom holiday chalet in Stowe Hollow - Two Creek Hill Vacation Chalet

A Private 4 Bedroom, 3 Bath Renovated Chalet Close to Stowe and Area Activities

PRIVATE PRESERVE BUT 6 MINUTES FROM STOWE VILLAGE

Two Creek Hill, nestled in three forested acres - yet only six minutes drive from the center of Stowe Village - is the perfect year-round venue for your Vermont escapes. Wake up to views of water, trees and mountains, spend the day skiing or hiking, and finish up in the brand new hot tub or by the fire. This beautiful and fully renovated chalet offers four bedrooms, three full bathrooms, a well-equipped kitchen, outdoor hot tub, wraparound deck, pond, fire pit, wood stoves, satellite TV, WiFi internet, gas grill, and more. Whether you're seeking calming solitude or invigorating adventure, you will feel at home at Two Creek Hill.

RENOVATED AND DESIGNED FOR VACATION

A classic three-level Vermont chalet, Two Creek Hill was renovated at the end of 2014, and is furnished in a clean and comfortable modern rustic style. Each floor boasts sleeping areas and full bathrooms. All of the bedrooms have ample closet space and views of the surrounding woods. A new hot tub was installed in October 2015.

The Pinnacle Room, on the top floor, has a queen bed and en suite bathroom. A reading loft is right outside its door.

The main floor includes the kitchen, living and dining rooms, wood stove, wall-mounted flatscreen TV and two bedrooms – The Pond and Creek Rooms. Pond has a queen bed, while Creek has a twin size bunk bed suitable for both kids and adults.

The open plan of the living and dining rooms, loft and kitchen allows for easy conversation and mingling as you and your guests cook, eat, laugh and relax. The main level’s floor-to-ceiling windows bring in abundant light and natural beauty.

With a bench seat running its entire length, 8 lounge chairs, and patio table, the wraparound deck is designed for outdoor enjoyment. Pass lazy days with your feet propped up, and your glass and plate full. The large area is perfect for entertaining groups, or enjoying intimate moments looking out over the pond. During the warmer months, the deck truly serves as another living room.

The ground floor is centered on a large family room that features another flatscreen TV, Blu-ray/DVD player, wood stove, and provides access to the outdoor hot tub. The Birch bedroom is just off of this main room and contains a queen bed. The clothes washer and dryer are also on this floor.

This well-designed layout allows for maximum flexibility. Guests can share in each other's company in the common areas, and enjoy privacy and personal time in the different bedrooms and floors.

PERFECT IN ALL FOUR SEASONS FOR ADVENTURE OR QUIET PEACE

Two Creek Hill is ideal for intimate romantic getaways, mindful retreats, or fun vacations with family and friends. Secluded in your own personal forest, you can savor morning meals looking out over the tranquil pond, afternoons on the broad deck, and evenings in the hot tub or by the fire pit. After dinner, enjoy conversation, games, or movies in the living room or family room while fire crackles in a wood stove.

In between (depending on what time of year it is) you can hike, bike, meditate, write, hunt, ski, sled, shop, and explore Vermont. Or you may choose to grab a book from the chalet’s library and enjoy some peace and quiet in the reading loft, with its view of the valley and Mt. Mansfield. When you are done, take a take a dip in the pond - or strap on your skates if it's wintertime.

Kids will wear themselves out playing in the three acres of woods, swimming or skating on the pond, and roasting marshmallows at the fire pit. For quiet time, they can select from our extensive collection of children's books.

Stowe is truly a year-round locale, and every season is special.

About David Brownstein

We are lifelong travellers and our jobs take us overseas for several years at a time. For a long time we've been looking for a place to call home. We also wanted our daughter, who has no 'hometown' of her own, to feel connected to at least one special spot in the world. After our first visit in 2010, we knew that Stowe was it.

After spending several summers here, we decided it was time to formally put down Vermont roots. We bought this property in 2014 and began our Two Creek Hill adventure.

We've stayed in a lot of hotels, beds and breakfasts and vacation rentals (and tents, hammocks, bunkers, and floors) over the years. We've tried to incorporate the aspects we've liked most about these different places (ok, maybe not the bunkers and floors) into Two Creek Hill's renovation and ethos. We love the house and the area. More than any other place else we've lived, Stowe feels like home every time we return. We hate leaving. We hope you will be as happy here as we have been.

David Brownstein purchased this chalet in 2014

Why David Brownstein chose Stowe

We love the fact that we are on three secluded acres acres - yet only six minutes drive from the center of Stowe Village. It feels like a personal hideaway in the country, but if we forget to buy milk (or ice cream), we can get to the grocery store in 10 minutes. Despite the fact that all the plots are 3 acres or more, Stowe Hollow still has a neighborhood-y feel. People greet each other on the road, chat, and get to know one another.

What makes this chalet unique

Two Creek Hill is only a 5 minute walk to the Pinnacle Peak trailhead; 2 miles (6 minute drive) from Stowe Village's Main Street; 7 miles from the Von Trapp Family Lodge; 10 miles from Mt. Mansfield's and Smuggler's Notch's ski slopes; 10 miles from the Ben and Jerry's Factory's heart-clogging goodness; 11 miles from Waterbury; and 36 miles from Burlington International Airport.

Adjacent to the C.C. Putnam State Forest, Two Creek Hill provides easy access to over 13,000 acres of natural beauty. In addition, the Stowe Land Trust preserves 1,000s of acres and 100s of trail miles for public use year- round. Waterbury Reservoir, 10 minutes down the road, offers kayaking, canoeing, fishing and hiking. The Long Trail, Catamount Trail and VAST Trails all pass nearby.

Guestbook comments from the owner

The following is a verbatim copy of a guest review left on AirBnB after a February 2015 stay at Two Creek Hill: "Our week long stay at Two Creek Hill was simply wonderful. The house is nestled privately in the woods, is beautifully appointed, and offers just the kind of Vt getaway we were hoping for - a quiet, peaceful place that we could come back to after a day of skiing and feel as though we had come home. Hosting friends and family for the week was easy - the house has beautiful cathedral ceilings, a spectacular view of Mt. Mansfield, a newly renovated and well-stocked kitchen, as well as comfortable living and sleeping spaces with ample bedding and blankets. Clearly there are many things to do in and around Stowe, but after a full day of skiing there was also plenty to do at the house - the kids had a blast sledding in the driveway (affectionately coined, 'The Stowe Luge'), playing with the games, books and toys that were there for our use, and capping off the day with a movie night, while the rest of us got to relax by the fire. From the earliest communication our hosts, David and Kristyna, were extremely gracious, welcoming and helpful. Any questions we may have had were answered promptly, and their recommendations for restaurants and activities that they thought our family would enjoy were much appreciated. The highly detailed description of the house and its amenities were accurate, and the welcome basket was a nice touch. Prior to our arrival, the driveway had been plowed, the steps cleared of snow, and there was plenty of wood for us to use. I would highly recommend staying at Two Hill Creek if you wish to find a place where you can enjoy a quintessential Vermont for a weekend or, if you're lucky, even longer. R.S.E."

The perfect home for the perfect holiday!

We spent Thanksgiving week in this beautiful home with our teenage daughter and another family of 4. The home is beautiful, comfortable, easy to clean, and has everything you can ask for....and then some. From the decor and furnishings to the just "feel good" vibe of the house, we fell in love the moment we walked in. Sitting in the hot tub while enjoying the peacefulness of snow fall, looking out at the woods and pond on the property was better than any beach I can imagine!

The location is great; close enough to the village and skiing, yet far enough where you feel like you are hours away from "it all". The only thing we missed were our dogs as this was our first ever vacation with out them - which will only mean we wont stay for a full week the next time we visit, and we certainly DO hope to come back a next time.

Wonderful Home in a Perfect Location

  • 5 of 5

We spent 4 amazing days at Two Creek Hill in April. As we opened the front door for the first time, we felt like we were at home. Comfortable and cozy - beautiful furniture and super well equipped kitchen! Super clean. The hot tub was lovely after our hikes, long walks, and mountain biking. The views from the deck are outstanding. The fire pit so inviting. Every bedroom was perfectly arranged and the beds so comfortable! The owners obviously take great pride in their house. Two Creek Hill is close to Stowe Village yet on a quiet mountainside. Easy drive to shopping, great restaurants, trail heads...a day trip to Burlington was great fun-especially the sunset over Lake Champlain. Definitely recommend it and hope to get back soon!

Thank you very much for everything. The house was very nice, easy to get to, close to the mountain and had everything we needed. The furniture and decorations really showed how much care you have put into it. Everything was beautifully decorated and upgraded. Thank you very much again.

Was a fantastic place to stay. Will be back. Very accomodating and great location. Close enough to town but yet away from town a ways. The house had everything we needed.

Great Summer Vacation in Stowe

  • 5 of 5

Just returned from a week at Two Creek Hill with my extended family (parents, sibling, teen children), we had a great time. The house is very comfortable, the 4 bedrooms and additional sleeping space was ideal, and 3 full bathrooms was a treat. The convenience to downtown Stowe from the house was exactly what we were looking for - - we made many trips to the multiple grocery stores and cooked many of our meals at home. The setting is peaceful and relaxing. Thank you for sharing your home!

Stowe has a well-deserved reputation for stellar winter activities. However, it is truly a year-round locale, and every season is special. Whether you are a skier, hiker, biker, writer, fly fisher, eater, lounger, meditator, or undecided – you will find ample opportunities to indulge your passions and discover new interests.

There are hundreds of miles of seasonal and year-round skiing, boarding, hiking, and biking trails and slopes - from flat to frightening, and everything in between. Countless swimming holes, streams, lakes and rivers allow for kayaking, canoeing, fishing, and splashing.

Fall in Stowe is spectacular. The intensity of the colors defies explanation. The autumn views from Pinnacle Peak, Camel’s Hump and Trapp Lodge are not to be missed.

The Stowe area also nourishes a cosmopolitan cultural scene. In addition to award winning restaurants and spas, the seasonal theater and concert schedule, and many festivals and fairs, ensure that you will not lack for things to do. Come, experience Vermont at Two Creek Hill.
