Akène Chalet boasts a privileged location in the Tarentaise Valley. It is not overlooked. Facing the South and easily accessible, Akène Chalet will host you in a natural, warm, and quite atmosphere, in the small and typical hamlet of Miroir in Sainte Foy. Every day, you will have access to different and prestigious skiing areas such as Tignes, Val d'Isère, Sainte Foy, and Les Arcs. Miroir is linked to the ski resort by a free shuttle service located 50 m form the chalet. I am a High Mountain Guide. Both in summer and in winter, my degree allows me to accompany you in the high mountain to discover this raw and wild universe. You will need a guide to discover all the potential regarding ski slopes in the Tarentaise Valley, visit the frozen waterfall or climb the mountain in summer. I will be available to offer personalised help and accompany you in your project. This winter, you can choose the "Chalet-Ski" option. Each day, I will look for you in the chalet after breakfast to take you to discover a different ski resort. By skiing, ski skins or snowshoes, I will your guide in this magic universe along routes adapted to your level, your wishes, and depending on snow conditions.

About Séverin Marchand

I was born in 1976 in Jura. I moved to the valley in 2004 to work as a High Mountain Guide. In 2007, I started building this house according to my conception of habitable spaces. When I finished it, the pleasure and the comfort of living in this place move me to share this experience. Then, I decided to combine my passion for mountain and skiing with the touristic field in order to offer an exceptional skiing holiday to my guests.

Why Séverin Marchand chose Sainte-Foy-Tarentaise

I built this chalet for myself in 2007 according to an eco-friendly approach emphasising renewables energies, using wood and the sun for heating and hot water, as well as rainwater harvesting for toilets. This house offers all the comforts, luxury, and simplicity. Akène Chalet can accommodate up to 8 people, and it offers 2 bathrooms, 3 separate bedrooms, and 2 beds on the mezzanine. The living area is located under a huge roof frame dating back to 1829, flooded with light thanks to large bay windows, which open up to the mountain. The chalet offers a laundry room with a washing machine, a tumble dryer, iron, and ironing board. The chalet is a fully equipped open-plan kitchen. You will find a satellite TV, a DVD player, Wi-Fi access, a hi-fi stereo system, linen and bedding supplied.

I am a High Mountain Guide. Both in summer and in winter, my degree allows me to accompany you in the high mountain to discover this raw and wild universe. Excellente adresse

Très beau chalet, bien équipé et très agréable à vivre. Environnement immédiat (village) et alentour magnifiques. Le séjour nous a paru trop court. Nous recommandons sans reserve cette location ou nous espérons pouvoir sejourner une nouvelle fois. Enfin accueil très sympathique.

Tres beau chalet, excellentes prestations !

Excellent sejour du 20 au 27 decembre 2015. Le chalet est encore mieux que sur les photos ! Tres bons equipements (3 machines a cafe, 2 dosettes et 1 classique), confort au top (chauffage par le sol...), vue magnifique sur les massifs en face; beaucoup d'espace dans la piece a vivre, la mezzanine (que les enfants adorent) et l'etage des chambres; acces internet super rapide; espace devant le chalet pour garer 3 voitures sans souci... Et bien sur l'accueil et les conseils de Severin le proprietaire des lieux. J'en oublie sans doute. Voila, vraiment a conseiller.

Un chalet PARFAIT avec belle vue!!

Nous avons passé une semaine excellente et fabuleuse dans le chalet Akéne, une vue des plus belles sur les montagnes, un calme et une tranquillité appréciable en plein mois d'aout, tout en étant proche de nombreuses balades.Rien ne nous a manqué dans le chalet,très très bien équipé, une luminosité et une vue montagne dans toutes les pièces,chambres,salle de bain,salon,salle à manger,cuisine......et bien sur la terrasse!! ou il fait bon prendre son café le matin.N'hésitez plus à venir passer un séjour inoubliable chez Mr Séverin Marchand, il vous réservera un accueil des plus chaleureux, encore merci à lui pour sa gentillesse et ses conseils, à bientôt....
