We first started going to the island before the bridge was built, catching the ferry.
We camped on the beach with a tent. We would stay for the weekend or
for a week. Our children were small, and we all loved it there. I always
went home renewed.
My husband was in the building trade which helped us to build the house ourselves on weekends and vacations. We loved the sun and the sounds of the waves while we worked.
We started renting our home through a realtor about 10 years ago, but have changed to Vrbo recently.
Judy Mick purchased this house in 1982
Since we covered half of the porch, I love sitting out there with the gentle breeze having breakfast or to sit out there and read when I come in from the sun and water. We have some beautiful sunrises and sunsets here.
Judy has a beautiful home. There's a great view of the gulf from the front porch. The living room/kitchen area is a lot bigger than we expected with 2 sofas, 2 easy chairs and a large table. We hosted Thanksgiving there with 30+ people. Everyone had a place to sit, on the porch, in the main room and the downstairs area. There was also enough room for us to set up our corn toss game. The beds were comfortable and there's great water pressure in the showers. I highly recommend this property.
We had a wonderful, relaxing vacation. The property is convenient to everything we needed.
This is a great beach house! Clean, well furnished and right across from the beach. There is a path straight to the beach that you have to look close to see, but it is directly across the street from Tranquility. i didn't see it until the fourth day, but with all the gear i usually drag down to the beach everyday, driving the half block to the boardwalk was ok with me. The farther i can walk on a boardwalk and the less distance i have to drag a canopy through the sand the better! The house was more than i expected, thank you Ms. Judy for sharing your great getaway!!
We had a wonderful stay at Tranquility over the course of a week in early June. Along with good family friends, 4 adults and 3 teenagers
in all, we cooked, relaxed on the porch, and basically made base camp of Tranquility as we kayaked the area, swam, and walked along the beaches of the Island. We had plenty room for all of us for dining, relaxing, and sleeping. Nicely equipped with pots and pans. Sheets and pillows. Good clean reliable appliances. Very clean all around. A very sweet, simple, tidy vibe.
We loved it! Would definitely stay again. Fingers crossed for another trip to Saint George.
Thank you for sharing your beautiful home. Tranquility By the Sea home was so clean when we arrived and I would recommend this home. The home did have a perfect location and I found out I brought too much stuff. We are already planning on coming back next year. We enjoyed watching the water from the balcony every morning and the beach was so close. The rooms were decorated wonderfully and were nice sized. The Blue Parrot is the best restaurant on the Island and their drinks are great. Thank you again. :) Sheila, Rich, Trisha, Chris, Bennett, Sam and Jackie.
The house had everything we need. The only thing we had to buy was tissue paper. :) we would definitely return next year!
