Clematis Lodge is a self contained 50 sqm house on two floors. Perfect for a couple, or single person, it suits up to four people. Located at the centre of the village, very close to the principal piazza with a parking area, the church and its bell tower, Clematis Lodge has an independent access and patio where it will be a pleasure to rest and read, or have dinner outside. A covered patio and a small garden complete the outside space. The house features antique but practical furniture, wooden floors, a compact kitchen, and an ensuite luxury bathroom with power shower.
The private access to the Clematis Lodge leads on to the patio with flowers, plants and aromatic herbes - available to our guests - creates a quiet and spacious outside area where to lounge or enjoy an evening meal.
Equipped with table and chairs and deck chairs, the patio is a very pleasant spot especially in the lovely Spring and Summer weather.
The ground floor living area, comprising the kitchen and dining table, is furnished to suit all your needs. The kitchen includes a four hob stove, while the large dining table matches the style of the lodge.
The room also features a fabric sofa-bed as well as painting and other works of art. These elements are combined to create an elegant living environment which is, at the same time, perfectly functional.

Cossogno is located in the hills of Verbania . Only a fifteen minute drive from the centre of the city and the Maggiore Lake, it is one of the few villages of the Val Grande National Park (a natural reserve and one of the biggest wild area in Europe). About an hour from Milan and close to the Swiss border, the Monte Rosa and Como, Varese, Orta and Mergozzo Lakes, Cossogno is a perfect base from which to experience the Italian Lake District.
Cossogno has limited traffic and noise pollution, especially since cars are parked just outside the centre of the village (handy for luggage transport). You can hear only the church bell strike and children play. Very peaceful.
Nonetheless Cossogno provides all the basic comodities, including a food shop, a coffee shop-trattoria, open for lunch and dinner, as well as a tennis court and beach volley court.
Most importantly however, Cossogno marks the entrance to the great natural reserve of the Val Grande, and therefore borders onto a glorious wood and a variety of hiking trails which are just a few steps from your door.
Clematis Lodge is perfect for visitors who want to enjoy a bit of everything, but it is especially suited to those who value peace and silence and who consider their holiday a time to restore mind and soul.
