We love the lively atmosphere of the neighborhood from the youthful and charming Canal St Martin to the exotic and chic bars, restaurants, shops and markets of the rue du Faubourg St. Denis. One of the most exciting new districts in Paris.
Eunice understates how wonderful an apartment this is to rent. We have rented from Eunice and Ken three times, twice in New York and this last spring in Paris for two months.
They keep their apartments immaculate and they are more than comfortably furnished with fine furniture and beautiful artwork and updated kitchen and bath. Off the living room is a full-width of the apartment balcony that is very inviting for morning coffee and throughout the day.
Both Ken and Eunice are always available to answer any question that may arise during your stay.
The apartment is in a wonderful building located between Gare du Nord and Gare de l’Est. With these two transportation hubs within minutes of the apartment, all of Paris (and Europe) is easily accessible.
Unlike our two previous brief stays in Paris, we felt we got a real feel for everyday Paris.
The neighborhood is wonderful, and the only “problem” we had was determining which boulangerie to visit for our morning baguette, as there were at least four within a block of the apartment!
The apartment is very convenient to the train station and is in a quiet neighborhood. We love the farmer's market which is 5 minute walk from the apartment where we can buy fresh fruits and cheese. The apartment is cozy and well decorated with a beautiful hardwood floor. The kitchen is well equipped and modern. We love the building, a lot of character. Eunice is a great hostess. We really enjoyed the stay of 4 months there. All went perfectly well. Thanks Eunice for your kind hospitality.
I rented this apartment for the month of August. The location is perfect - close to Gare du Nord and Gare de l'Est - so travelling by train and metro was practical and easy. It's also within walking distance to many of the main sites and areas, as well as tons of cafés, boulangeries and food shops. The apartment itself is lovely - the pictures barely do it justice. Everything I needed was there and it was easy to start feeling right at home. The area can be a bit noisy at night (like any city), but the bedroom is quiet. The terasse was a perfect place for my morning espresso and croissant and a great way to immediately feel like a true parisienne. The owners are fantastic and gave some wonderful suggestions of things to do and see. Overall, I felt very welcomed. Even the cleaning lady is super sweet. I would recommend this apartment to anyone and definitely hope my travels will find me there again soon.
A beautiful, comfortable and very special apartment. The location is central with metro lines a 3 minute walk away. The neighborhood is exciting, with a great covered market and all other amenities within 5 minutes. The owners are so gracious and helpful, I cannot say enough about how welcome they made me feel. I have stayed in many apartments over the years in Paris, this apartment surpassed all of them by a long shot. Calm, clean and gorgeously decorated with a great modern kitchen - I had a hard time leaving. Thank you, Eunice and Ken. I can't wait to come back.
The 10th arrondissement contains a popular and creative mix of people and activities. We have the oldest covered market in Paris (Marche St Quentin) just down the street from our home as well as the best world music club, New Morning. Then, there is the stylish and picturesque Canal St. Martin with its shops, cafes and restaurants. Nearby is the rue du Faubourg St. Denis filled with cafes populated by movie, music and fashion types, artists too. There's lots of exotic as well as traditional bistrot French food, as well as an indian neighborhood not far away for great and cheap eats and great food, fabric and clothing shopping. Our home is a 25 minute walk to the Centre Pompidou, 35 minutes to the Seine and Notre Dame. We have loads of buses and subway lines right out the door.
