An adorable, cozy house, located in a beach community and privately set in one of Florida’s best natural landscapes. The intracoastal waterway is within view and is only steps to the west. The Atlantic Ocean is a short, scenic walk to the east. Immaculately maintained home on a large corner lot, hidden in its own secret garden, which is surrounded by palm trees and huge oaks. A spacious and inviting second story wraparound porch meant for enjoying the ocean air and the Vilano Beach lifestyle.
no issues with property
very nice secluded location good for the family that wants off the beaten path with walking distance to the ocean
Very nice house. It was very clean and modern. Very comfortable and close to the beach.
This location was perfect for us and the house was perfect as well. We enjoyed the house being close to the beach and also close to Cap's Grill. We will rent this property again the next time we need a place to stay on Vilano Beach, and I would recommend it to friends. It was a pleasure dealing with Eric, he made the whole rental experience a smooth transaction.
This home is a beautiful retreat! We where in the area for a family wedding weekend. It was so peaceful and relaxing to stay at this home during and after the busy wedding schedule. It was clean and had all the comforts of home. If you are looking for a beach stay, you will need to travel to the beach as this house is not within walking distance of the ocean beach.
We stayed here for the whole month of February, so a true living experience. The property is located 1/2 block from Cap's on the River, one of the most magical and popular restaurants in all of North Florida. The setting on the Tolomako River amid live oaks with twinkling lights is memorable and the food is excellent. You are also adjacent to a non-commercial view of the Tolomako and about two blocks from a beautiful marsh. On the downside, food delivery trucks going to Cap's in the morning and customers coming and going in the afternoon and evening make this location one of the busiest traffic corners on the island. Add to that, the NE Fla. Regional Airport is across the river with constant flyovers of small planes, executive jets, military planes from Northrup Grumman's facility and occasional stunt planes from (I suppose) Patty Wagstaff's school. We endured all this and actually enjoyed the stunt flying but some may not.
As to the house, it is nice enough and beautifully landscaped. If you plan to cook however, you might want to ask if issues with an inadequately cooled refrigerator and an overly sensitive smoke alarm have been cleared up.
All in all, a positive experience on a very special island but with a few issues.
