The South Apartment and the West Apartment are located within Quinta do Algarve and have access to a swimming pool. The house "Casa Portuguesa" is located outside the Quinta and does not have access to a swimming pool. Any of these three houses is ideal for spending an excellent holiday, allowing you to enjoy both the beach and the countryside.

Property with a lovely character

We spent a week here 1st week in Sept '17, and we really enjoyed the property. It is full of character and was a delight to have the use of. Comments are small things that others may need to consider. Property owner on hand to provide keys etc. to allow us to commence our stay with no problems and checked with us during the week that we well etc., so good client care to my view. All the essentials were available to us in the property for our stay, and it has as an internal charm to match the external.

The ground floor accom is perhaps a bit compact were it fully occupied (there were just 3 adults in our party so it provided no great issues to us). It was clean throughout on arrival and not too difficult to maintain that way by any occupant.

The internal stairs are probably a bit steeper, and steps smaller in height and depth than perhaps people in the UK are used to, but not restrictively so.(maybe an inch smaller than in modern UK build standards. Only mentioned in case prospective leasers have people who are less capable in their party.

The pictures on the site need to be considered "selectively" by any viewer. There are multiple pictures but not all relate to this specific property. It would be better to tailor the presentation to suit. Not necessarily a problem so long as the property description is read carefully, The written details are accurate and there were no "hidden" surprises.

Whilst the beach is not on the doorstep, the walk is entirely in line with the estimated distance given. The access route is not fully "roadworthy" but a decent walking surface for the whole length.

A couple of points stopped me scoring this as a 5 star, 1 of minor significance, the other potentially more problematic. For the minor point, the mattresses on the beds were very firm, but this is a matter of taste, and maybe entirely suitable for others. The more important item is that fridge had a defective door seal leaving gaps around a couple of corner points, which meant that it was permanently "running" when the weather was warm. A minor annoyance for the holiday, but if it were for a restaurant it would be a health weakness for the equipment if it wasn't resolved/replaced/repaired. I'm not sure the same rules apply for a holiday lease, but needs consideration.

As previously stated this is a lovely property, in a good location and it offered full value for the price, and these comments should not dissuade any future client.

Schöner Familienurlaub

Die Ferienwohnung ist mit allen Ausgestattet was man braucht, echt hübsch eingerichtet (hat persönlichen Charme). Der Garten und Pool ist traumhaft, es gibt genug Liege-und Sitzmöglichkeiten und der Garten ist nicht einsichtig man hat absolut seine Ruhe, (Kinder dürfen toben und planschen). Der Strand ist auch nicht weit weg und war nie wirklich überlaufen, das Meer ist auch sauber und fällt flach ab. Die Vermieterin ist absolut nett und sehr bemüht, (bei uns ging das Wlan nicht gleich, (hat telefoniert und sich darum gekümmert). Wir hatten die Wohnung unten wo man gleich in den Garten kann, dürften uns auch die obere ansehen, von der Terrasse/Balkon hat man dann halt Meerblick. Beide Wohnungen sind groß mit ausreichend Platz und jede hat Ihrer Vorteile entweder Meerblick oder Pool zum gleich reinspringen. Wir würden jederzeit wieder kommen.

Ambiente típico e acolhedor

Estadia muito agradável. Casinha limpa e acolhedora, equipada com tudo o que é necessário. Localização óptima, a poucos minutos a pé da lindíssima Praia da Coelha.

Nettes Haus im Strandnähe

Nettes, kleines, altes Haus, in der Nähe des sehr schönen Strandes. Es gibt steile Treppen(!) und relativ enge Schlafräume.

Auf der kleinen Straße an der das Haus liegt ist relativ viel Verkehr, weil sie zum Strand führt.

Zum besseren Verständnis stellen wir fest, dass, obwohl ein altes Haus (es mehr als 200 Jahren hat), hat das Haus vor kurzem renoviert worden, und die allgemeine Meinung ist, dass das Haus schön ist :-) Die Villa befindet sich in der Nähe der Straße nach Coelha Strand, der ein kleiner Strand ist und so gibt es nicht viel Verkehr bleibt ... Darüber hinaus ist das Haus selbst ein Hallenplatz von außen isoliert hat. Schließlich ist zu beachten, dass das Haus mit einer Gesamtfläche von 80 m2 (!) Verfügt über 2 Stockwerke über dem Boden, Zimmer mit Panoramablick auf das Meer. Es ist ein Haus mit einem Garten und einer Terrasse, und obwohl es nicht ein großes Haus ist sehr geräumig und sehr fröhlich. Wir hoffen, dass Sie uns wieder besuchen.

Maison au soleil

La maison est assez grande et assez bien équipée même si la semaine où nous avons loué, le lave vaisselle est tombé en panne mais Dario, le propriétaire, nous a fait une réduction.

La maison est à 7 ou 8 minutes de la plage qui est fort jolie. Cependant la maison se situe dans une rue très passante où piétons et voitures sont nombreux. C'est donc assez bruyant.

A l'intérieur, c'est propre mais les literies -surtout le matelas du haut- sont assez fatiguées. La wifi ne fonctionne que par intermittence.

Le propriétaire est charmant et accueillant même si il serait intéressant de prévoir pour les vacanciers des renseignements sur la région pour la visiter.

Owner's Response: Nous vous remercions pour vos commentaires. Bien que pas tout à fait satisfaisante ils constituent une possibilité d'amélioration. D'autre part, ces commentaires méritent également notre clarification. Ainsi, le lave-vaisselle défectueux a été remplacé par une nouvelle machine automatique avec la marque AEG. Nous vous remercions de votre compréhension et pour compenser l'inconfort attendu a fait une réduction de 100 euros sur le prix du séjour. Pour Internet, nous avons également amélioré la vitesse de connexion avec l'installation d'une bande passante plus large (aussi portable). En ce qui concerne une éventuelle ancienneté des matelas, aucun des trois matelas reçu à ce jour aucune réparation négative, sauf le vôtre. Franchement, même si nous respectons votre opinion, nous ne sommes pas d'accord avec vous sur cette question. Si oui, immédiatement remplacerait l'un des matelas... En ce qui concerne la circulation des piétons et des voitures dans la rue prés de la Casa Portuguesa, nous devons souligner que ceci est la fin de la route d'accès à la plage ... une rue très calme, car il est un domaine avec seulement quelques villas de luxe. La rue ne sert pas à connecter les villages ou villes et il n'y a pas de magasins, dans l'accès à la plage, seulement quelques maisons (ne faisant que transiter les résidents et les gens qui vont à la plage, juste pendant la journée). Ceci est une zone très calme et nous ne pouvons pas être en accord avec cette évaluation. Bien sûr, nous vous remercions également pour vos commentaires positifs et votre dernière suggestion visant à fournir des informations touristiques sur place. Pourtant nous l'avait pas fait compte tenu de la grande quantité d'informations disponibles sur la région considérée comme la capitale touristique de l'Algarve. Mais nous allons considérer votre commentaire et nous aurons des brochures touristiques sur place. Encore une fois, je vous remercie pour vos opinions.

To reach the Praia da Coelha (Bunny Beach) follow the direction to the Marina of Albufeira and to Beach of S. Rafael. The "Quinta do Algarve" is located less than 100m from the car park of Coelha Beach (which is situated 400 metres from Coelha Beach). Other landmarks near the vacation rentals are the "Hotel Baia Grande" and the recommended restaurant "O Marinheiro" ("The Sailor"), that stands 100m away (there is another excellent restaurant on the beach itself, as well as others nearby). The beautiful beach "Praia da Coelha" is less than a 5-minute walk from Quinta do Algarve, and we recommend the a beautiful walks along the cliffs. The town of Albufeira, considered by many the tourist capital of Portugal, is located only 3 km away...
