About Cari Graham

We are a couple close to retirement that loves to travel, loves the heat and loves Southern Utah. We have four grown and out of the house daughters and 3 granddaughters... Todd would be the only boy if it weren't for the wonderful son-in-laws that have came into our lives. Even our cat LuLu is a girl ;)

Cari Graham purchased this house in 2010

Why Cari Graham chose Utah

When we looked for homes in Southern Utah my husband insisted the realtor take us to see this home in Central even though it was a bit off the beaten path. There was something about it he loved. When we walked through the front door we KNEW we wanted this home. It is simply finished NICE! As you walk in there is something about the cool colors and style of the home that makes you want to stay. We love it!

What makes this house unique

Our home is away from the city life and set in the country town of central. We hear the faint sound of horses, owl & other wild life, the occasional bunny, squirrels and deer wondering through our yard and the beautiful view that lets you know you're away from home and here to relax. Honestly one of my favorite things to do is take a walk through our up & down hilly neighborhood. You pass the occasional 4-wheeler and the small town waving neighbor!

Great cabin with wonderful views!

  • 5 of 5

We spent three nights at the Hillside Hangout with our group of 8. We had three generations ages 67 to 15. We played games, watched movies, went on a few RZR rides, ate pie from Veyo Pies, and just had a wonderful time. The cabin was well stocked with everything we needed and Cari answered any questions we had very quickly.

Hope to Hangout Again at Hillside Hangout

  • 5 of 5

My family had a wonderful time in Central, Utah. The home was impressive, clean, and well maintained. We enjoyed the beautiful sunrise from the deck each morning we were there. There are so many things to do in and around the area. Our favorites were Snow Canyon and Mt. Zion. There was no way to see and do everything in the eight days we were there. There are several great restaurants in St. George, but nothing was more appreciated than Veyo Pies just a few minutes from the home. I think we had four homemade pies in the eight days we stayed! I had several questions before arriving in Central and I found Cari to be very friendly and helpful. I knew immediately our trip was important to her and she was extremely considerate and available to my family in every way. I would love to return to the area someday and would absolutely choose to stay in this lovely home again!

Huntsman games vacation

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at the Ledges property while competing in The Huntsman senior games in St George. The group included my wife, myself, my sister, and her husband. We had a wonderful time. The house was extremely well outfitted with every day to day need. Also excellent wifi and TV service. Also, a neat game room with fun stuff. The area nearby has some interesting destinations for day trips. I highly recommend this house and Cari our hostess was always accommodating.

Elegant Home in an Magnificent Setting

  • 4 of 5

Despite two minor inconveniences, I believe my six year old grandson summarized it best when he said, “I could live here forever!” Specifically, this spacious home in the crisp pine air of Central, Utah was the perfect setting for a family vacation. It provided plenty of room for the family including a lovely hard wood floored living room with a functional big screen TV and a magnificent view of the Pine Valley mountains, a large kitchen with all the functional appliances and a large table in the dining room, a charming master bedroom, an additional bedroom that could comfortably sleep at least four, and two and a half bathrooms. In addition, other amenities were available including a garage converted into a game room with fully functional air hockey and Foosball tables, and a large deck that provided a grand view of the mountain range and accompanying valley.

As previously mentioned, the only two drawbacks we found in the home were automobile access and internet capability. Regarding the driveway, the road into the home and the driveway are both very steep. In addition, a necessary berm sets at the end of the driveway to prevent water from flowing onto the property during a rainstorm. For a truck or SUV, this should be no problem, but low to the ground sedans such as my Hyundai Sonata may have difficulty. For example, no matter how I directed my car, when I attempted to access the driveway, it drug bottom on the berm. Consequently, I found it wiser to park in the cul-de-sac just outside the property. Concerning the internet, we found it had a strong connection with full bars, but the modem would generally only allow about two users at a time. If more users attempted access, we would end up needing to reboot the modem. An easy fix would probably be to upgrade the modem/router considering that the internet connection appeared very strong.

The two inconveniences did little, however, to dampen our stay at this beautiful home. Overall, we enjoyed it very much and would not hesitate in recommending it to future visitors.

Owner's Response: We appreciate your stay, review and comments! We also appreciate the many other wonderful reviews that our home has had! We are very sorry that you had any issues. We have owned this beautiful home for five years now and would be more than willing to upgrade the modem if needed. My husband and I are major computer users, myself being a retired software engineer. We previously had a limited data plan because we had trouble finding a provider in the area. But, we found a great provider in April with excellent speeds who is able to provide the home with unlimited data. When they installed the internet, in April, we asked if we needed a new modem and the technician said we did not. We have on average 4-6 devices connected, 2 phones, 2 iPads and often 2 laptops when we are there. I do wish you had contacted us about the internet after I told you over the phone how to reboot it properly. We would have gladly sent a technician out to investigate. We will make a trip out this month to test the internet as well as to look at the berm in front of the driveway that is mentioned. We also apologize that you could not get your car over berm and I’m glad you were able to make it work by parking in front of the home in the cul-de-sac. Yes, the driveway and cul-de-sac are steep. If you are thinking of renting the place please examine the pictures in the listing. There is one looking up the driveway from the home and another looking down the driveway from the top. Right before your stay, as I mentioned over the phone, there was an excessive amount of rain in the area which could have made the berm more extreme or caused ruts. But, I would hate for anyone to think it wasn’t possible without a truck or SUV. We do have a small car, an Acura TSX, that we have driven there for the past 5 years and parked in the driveway. Thanks again! We are headed to the home this weekend to make sure everything is in good repair!

The best ever!

  • 5 of 5

We could not have been happier with our time at the Central Home. It was beautiful and comfortable and just perfect for all of our needs. I even enjoyed the welcome we received from two cats who must live nearby. They came and greeted us almost every morning. The road in and drive way are very steep! Thanks for everything! We are recommending the location and process to multiple extended family members who do family reunions in the area yearly!

Located 25 minutes north of Saint George on scenic highway 18 with all the fun and entertainment of downtown Saint George just minutes away!

We are just north of the BEAUTIFUL outdoor Tuacahn Ampitheatre and Snow Canyon!

The Tuacahn hosts a variety of amateur & Broadway productions, concerts, comedy, rodeos and other shows starting as early as March. In 2015 you will see: Chris Proctor-Mar 9, Abamania-Mar 20, The Bretts-Mar 21, Pink Floyd-Mar. 27, Professional Bull Riders-April 10-11, Brian Reagan April 30-May 2 and the following Broadway Productions held outdoors from May – Oct, Beauty & the Beast, Disney’s When You Wish and Sister Act. You cannot find a more inviting setting. You may not know the Tuacahn hosts an OUTDOOR MARKET every Saturday morning from 9-12 with breakfast available, art shows, gift shops etc.

Snow Canyon State Park offers camping, hiking, cycling and a lot more. Some amazing views, slot canyons, Lava Tubes, photography ops! It's tempting to stay in your car because it's beautiful. We advise GETTING OUT OF YOUR CAR!! Take a short half mile walk or a longer hike. You'll be GLAD you took our advice!

One of our favorite places is just 69 miles away about an hour and a half, is ZIONS National Park! It makes a great day trip from our cabin. I'm sure I need to say much about Zion's! If you haven't seen it you must. Google it. If you have been... GO BACK! They have the coolest buses now that take you around the park and you can get on and off as desired to take in the view, a hike, food or ice cream!

Just a few miles before you get to our home is the town of Veyo. Veyo has gas, post office, some groceries, Mr Cebollin's Mexican food, Veyo Pies (serves lunch) and a little hidden gem, The Veyo Resort & Swimming Pool which has been there since 1930! When you head down the resort road you are driving down closer to the river. Get out and walk down to this charming resort! It includes a restaurant, open until 8pm every night, a swimming pool, camping and picnicking areas along the river, volley ball, horse shoes, crawdading and ROCK CLIMBING, also lessons. It is one of the largest privately owned outdoor CLIMBING PARKS in the USA. Climbing opens April 1st. Pool opens May 1st. Pool and restaurant from 12-8pm 7 days a week.

If you've heard of the CUTE town of Pine Valley... We are 8 miles from it BUT CLOSER TO SAINT GEORGE! Pine Valley has one of the coolest camp areas I've seen and they've recently added many new camp sites. They have a stocked lake to fish, spots for horses and lots of 4-wheeling and hiking trails.

Besides the smaller fishing lakes like Pine Valley and Bakers Dam, there are lakes big enough for boating nearby such as Gunlock, Quail Cove Reservoir and State Park, Sand Hollow and if you are up for a two hour drive for the day you can head out to LAKE MEAD, the largest man-made lake in the US.

If you like to go four wheeling, there are 4-wheeling trails EVERYWHERE around us. Some of them drop down right into our subdivision. Take one easily over to Baker’s damn.

Our home is a few blocks away from the start of the Saint George Marathon! If you're running in the marathon our home is the perfect place to stay.

Did you know Saint George has an outdoor free movie every other Friday night in the summer?
