Property was spacious and location was wonderful.

  • 5 of 5

Local downtown feel, yet very quiet. Very nice to get away from the big city and have no sirens or gun shots or car engines racing at 3am. None of that in this location. We did not do much more than meander leaving us plenty of reason to go back and enjoy more of the history next time. Our host was available, but property was perfect so we did not need anything. He did stop by to make sure the garbage cans were at the curb morning of trash pickup. He was a very nice gentleman. I have accidentally left a jacket behind and he is mailing it to me. Wonderful host. Wonderful property.

Needs maintenance

  • 1 of 5

The subfloor in the bathroom is rotting and the toilet is falling through it. There are other issues throughout the house. This house should not be rented in current condition.

Owner's Response: I am not aware of any maintenance issues. We always address any concerns as soon as expressed. The guests immediately before and after this guest were very complimentary. The house was built in the late 1800's and is not "Modern". It is a little quaint.

Great place

  • 5 of 5

Family from out of state and I stayed here for a few days for my nephew's graduation from Parris Island Marines boot camp. It was very nice. The trip to the base was easy and quick at 10 to 15 minutes. The house had a historical feeling to it (in a good way). There was a good amount of space in the common areas and the beds were comfortable.

Nice house in a Great Location

  • 4 of 5

Stay here as we prepared and attended our son's graduation on Parris Island. The house is in a great location, nice quiet street and within walking distance to shops and restaurants. Being an older house that is been lightly modernized, it was a nice alternative to a hotel for 4 days! The owner was responsive and all in all we had no issues. I would recommend some nightlights while staying, stumbling around a strange house in the middle of the night is not very fun. ;-)

Great host

  • 5 of 5

Mr. Mobely was a gracious host. We had a problem with the first home that required us to move and Mr. Mobely gave us a larger home to stay in for the same price. He was very nice and accommodating.

Located in the historic district of the second oldest town in SC. You can walk or bike to many historic homes, some built in the 1700's. There are carriage tours, walking tours and self guided tours. Less than a mile from downtown restaurants and businesses. A short drive to the beach or fishing. Nearby boat ramp for kayaks. Short day trips to historic Savannah and Charleston. Very convenient for a family visit for a graduating Marine at Parris Island.
