The apartment is available every time. If you want to get the local feeling of living in Paris, this apartment is perfect for families with children, business trips or to stay with friends.

The apartment is located on the 4th floor with elevator until the 3rd floor (so 1 floor walk up) , of a very typical Parisian building: 1 living room, 2 bed room, 2 fully equipped kitchens, 3 bathroom with shower and bath tub. Completely renovated with modern and contemporary furniture, the apartment is brand new in a sober and elegant atmosphere.

In an ideal layout, the two bedrooms are at completely opposite side of the apartment - perfect for those needing their own space and looking for privacy. One bedroom is overlooking the street while the 2nd bedroom is overlooking an interior courtyard. The salon, or living room, is spacious and lined in charming bookshelves. The living room is equipped with all the amenities you will need during your stay. The dining table is connected to the salon that also includes large windows. The street is a one-way road and quiet during the day and night, the apartment itself is well isolated. There are 3 bathrooms, all of them with toilet.

About the 7 sleeps: 1 king size bed in the room, 2 queen size sofa bed in each living room, 1 folding bed you can put where you want. The kitchens are fully equipped with all the amenities and facilities: microwave, wash machine, dish machine, coffee machine, oven, etc etc you will be able to cook like a French Gourmet. Of course full free Internet WIFI connection, cable TV with more than 500 international channels and full free long distance calls to everywhere. What else, the perfect place to stay and have a great time in Paris.

We would like to point out that we do not collect the security deposit with the rental, we will kindly ask you a separate 500euros PAYPAL, this will allow us to refund you immediately after your departure without any bank fees.

Gest beware

Great location, good size apartment, however there are some serious shortcomings.

Even though there is an elevator it only goes to the 3rd floor, then you have to take the stairs to go to the 4th floor where the entrance of the apartment is, but then there are more stairs to go up to the apartment, so don’t bring a lot of luggage or you will break your back, I wouldn’t recommend it for older people either.

The furniture is old and falling apart, we couldn’t even have breakfast on the table as the top of the table is loose with the base and every time you touch the table the top tilts and you spill your glass. One of the bedroom chair is completely falling apart you can see the springs broke through the bottom while the padding for the kitchen chairs in non-existent and very uncomfortable to sit in. The door handles are loose; the toilet seat in the main leaving area bathroom is broken. There is a very limited supply of utensil for even the most basic cooking. We even had to buy toilet paper for our 4 days stay as the rolls left on the holder where almost gone.

The biggest problem was with the greeter. During the booking process they go to great lengths to pin you down on your arrival and departure time, even charging you extra for late arrival on top of the already steep 100euros welcoming fee. We specifically alerted them about our arrival between 3 and 4pm and thought that everything was in order, until the day before when we were sent an email saying that they had moved our arrival time to 5pm! I had to return my rental car by 5pm and had to leave my wife with all of our luggage outside in the cold for more than 90 minutes until the greeter showed up.

When I confronted him is response was: ”This is NOT a Hotel and I am NOT your concierge!”

This kind of attitude is unacceptable. I also own a VRBO in California and I make a point of being helpful and courteous to the guests staying at my place so they can enjoy their vacation, not being abandoned in the cold.

It looks like the owner bough this as an investment and is not there to run it and leaves it to somebody else that obviously has no interest in maintaining it and is just there to collect is 100 euros greeting fee.

Perfect for our extended family

  • 5 of 5

Our 3 generation family of 6 (ages 14 - 70) found this to be ideal for us. Each age group had our own space and bathroom. Two kitchens made breakfast very easy. We were able to walk to ALL the major sites. We've stayed on the outskirts of Paris before and never realized how much time and effort could be saved by a close in location. We would definitely stay here again. My only caution is that the elevator only reaches the 3rd floor and there are about 30+ narrow, sometimes winding steps after that. It was no problem for us, but anyone with physical issues should be aware of this in advance.

Great & centrally located!

  • 5 of 5

The Louvre Bailleul apartment was fantastic, and in a quirky historic Parisian building like one sees in the movies. The location was great, very central, within walking distances of the Louvre, yet very quiet as it's side street. The welcomer was very accommodating and adaptable. He even offered to reserve a taxi to the airport for the last day, saying that it wasn't much more expensive than the metro. I highly recommend this place, and would go back if i return to Paris!
