Hi There! My wife Shaina and I are newlyweds and we just moved in to this beautiful house in December of 2014. We are long-time New Haven residents and we LOVE this city! We have a reputation for hosting potlucks and holiday parties for our friends and family over the years, and you couldn't ask for a better space to entertain than this. We are very excited to share our home and ideally we would like to rent to families or large groups coming in to New Haven for special weekends at Yale, including alumni and graduation weekends. We look forward to meeting you soon!

Wooster Square is the most historic and peaceful neighborhood in the city. You can walk to Yale, Downtown New Haven, or a number of great restaurants. The house is Just 2-3 blocks away from famous Wooster St (Pepe's, Sally's, Etc). If pizza isn't your top choice there are a dozen other restaurants within walking distance that cater to a variety of tastes and preferences. The square itself is delightful and quintessential New England.
Dining room table seats ten and dining area is connected to the kitchen and bar area. The kitchen is great for breakfast seating with 4 stools to sit on the large island. Natural light from the sun fills the house in every room. Relax in the Jacuzzi tub before breakfast or after a night out. A hidden gem and rare find for this neighborhood. Close to everything New Haven has to offer.
Kitchen, 3 Bedrooms, Jacuzzi Tub (master bedroom), living room, dining area, and driveway. Wi-Fi password available upon request. There are no land lines for the phone and we do not have cable. But a large, crisp flat screen with direct internet connection is available for DVDs/Hulu/Netflix.
The owners will not be on site in the event that the entire house is rented, but we will be readily available and easy to reach.
The house was really wonderful. The owners even had a Christmas tree up which was great for our family visit.
A lot of space, a lot of love and great hosts. I hope to be back soon
Thank you Chris and Shaina!
Great home for our family reunion with 7 adults at Thanksgiving. Plenty of space, huge well-equipped kitchen, and convenient location. The owners were very accommodating. We would definitely rent this house again.
The owners were super responsive and exceedingly gracious with their home and making us feel very welcome. All was in good working order, it felt luxurious to drop into this house and feel so at home. Perfect for our classmates to gather and talk and share a meal.
Chris and Shaina's two story home in New Haven was the perfect home base for our family, and offered all of the comforts of home for our family of 4 plus two sets of grandparents! The owners were very responsive to our needs -- including graciously stopping by on our first evening to trouble shoot the grill (which was much appreciated!), and also were generous in offering tons of little amenities (extra toiletries, a stocked fridge, popcorn for their very cool popcorn maker, etc.!). Being within walking distance to one of New Haven's famous pizza joints, Pepe's, was another unexpected bonus. The backyard is nicely fenced in, so was a perfect spot for our 2 and 5 year old to run around safely, and provided a great spot to gather and eat outside. We would definitely rent again -- Thank you Chris & Shaina!
This is a great house near Yale in New Haven. The walk to Yale is about 10 min. or so. Ok unless you're in a hurry. Very much enjoyed the house, large and full of anything you might need with a great backyard if you want to BBQ with friends. Chris is an excellent host, coming over twice when asked to help sort out my friend who arrived before I. Very accommodating and easy to communicate with. Three bedrooms, washer dryer, etc. Clearly Chris and his wife have put a lot of energy into gentrifying what was an older home. They did a good job. A few downsides of course, no cable, but you can go a day or two just with Hulu or Netflix. All in all I'd give it a solid "A". The beds are comfy, but of the Serta type which I find hot. Had to use the A/C at night to keep from sweating, but certainly soft and comfy. I'd go back.
Chris and his wife have an incredible house and are an absolute pleasure to work with. You feel like you are really guests at their house. We appreciated having free range to help ourselves to anything in the fridge or pantry or liquor cabinet. They have little notes around the house to answer essentially any question you might have, which were actually very thoughtful and useful. This is their home, so it's furnished too the max, and it's not like you are staying in a rental property. They trust you with their home which is awesome, and we'll absolutely be reaching out again next year
