About the property

The house is situated on top of a hill behind the village of Benamargosa, without direct neighbours or owners living there. The views to the mountains and to the Mediterranean Sea are stunning. Around the house there is a flat garden area where fruit trees, like mango, lemons, figs and oranges, are growing. The private swimming pool offers coolness on a hot day.

The house is suitable for 2 to maxumum 8 guestst (including annex). The annex is not rented separately. The facilities are up to modern standards and the house can be easily reached from the main road. Free WiFi is available. You will also be provided with everything to make your stay a real holiday. There are toys, games and lots of books (cookery, novels and wildlife). Furthermore, we leave you with all kinds of tourist information about the area.

The house is just 20 minutes away from the beach in Torre del Mar. The distance to the centre of the village is 700 meters and there you find shops, banks, restaurants, bars, cafés and a medical center. The cities of Seville, Granada (Alhambra or skiing in the Sierra Nevada) and Cordoba are all located within 200 km. The attractive city of Malaga and the airport can be reached within an hour.

People can use this house as a base camp for visiting the treasures of Andalusia. The area is also fit for walking, birdwatching, trekking, mountain biking, golf, horse riding and lots more.

About Ramon and Esther

Ramon and Esther are a Dutch couple that fell in love with the rural area in Benamargosa, the Spanish people and the Spanish way of living. Over the years they renovated an old ruin and in 2012 they bought holiday home Encantada because they wanted to share their holiday feeling in Andalusia.

A lovely house with all amenities. With a beautiful view and tranquility. A cup of coffee overlooking the valley is delicious. Wonderful hiking in the area. Picking avocados from the trees. A nice swimming pool, very nice host. At a pleasant distance from Malaga and nice clubs on the beach. Definitely a place to return.

If you look for a lovely spot in the beautiful surroundings of Andalusie go to Encantada!

We had a wonderfull time in Encantada. A beautiful house surrounded with different terasses where you can enjoy nature. The house offers you all the comfort you need and much more. It's a nice stroll to the village Benamargossa. The sea is only a 15 minute drive, here you find lots of restaurants with the best seafood. We will certainly go back to Encantada!

Lovely house on a hill with an amazing view

This house is a great starting point for exploring the broader Malaga region. With great daytrips to e.g. Pedrogalejo, Malaga City, Nerja and many small authentic white villages. With your own petanque course, a great competition is guaranteed. Great views are all inclusive as from the terrace you can see the valley that consist of mango plantations (please try the 'mango of the house' as we were offered by Ramon and Esther (great hosts!). The swimming pool gives you the opportunity for a fresh relaxation (also with a view). We've had a great time and would definetely recommend the house for a short or a long stay! Henk and Alexa

Oase van rust en ruimte!

Perfecte tijd gehad in Encantada. Het huis ligt heel mooi op een berg met een fantastisch uitzicht, de weg er naartoe is stijl, maar goed te doen. Warm welkom van Ramon en Esther, lekker flesje wijn en de keuken is volledig ingericht met kruiden en olie en azijn. Op de badkamer staat heerlijke douchegel, bodycreme en ook aan wasmiddel is gedacht. In iedere kamer staan verse bloemen en het is overal schoon. Er zijn verschillende terrassen, zodat je rust, zon of juist schaduw op kunt zoeken. Het zwembad is heerlijk! Ramon en Esther kennen de omgeving goed en geven graag allerlei tips. De locatie is centraal, vanuit hier kun je allerlei uitstapjes maken. Ik ga hier zeker terugkomen!

Follow the signs Malaga after leaving Malaga airport. Take motorway MA-20, follow the signs Almería/Motril which will lead you around the city of Malaga in easterly direction (A-7/E-15). Stay on this moterway until exit 272 (Vélez Málaga). Take this exit and turn left at the round about towards the direction of Viñuela. Stay on this road (A-356) for approximately 5 km until you see the sign Benamargosa. Turn left here, just before restaurant El Cruce. Keep following this road until you reach Benamargosa after 8 km. We will pick you up at the Town Hall (Ayuntamiento) a big white square building with flags.
