About the property

Pretty stone cottage at 250 meters from the beach of the Bay of Guidaloca-Scopello. The beach is sandy with small pebbles and can be reached on foot through a narrow street and a staircase placed on the cliff. The sea is crystal clear.

The presence of several beaches offers the possibility to rent chairs and umbrellas and eat tasty sandwiches.

The house is surrounded by a large garden filled with Mediterranean plants, roses, palms, olive trees and a large lawn. E 'completely fenced, has an access gate and has ample parking, outdoor shower, hammock and swing.

Adjacent to the garden there is a terrace with barbecue, sink, table top, table and chairs, barbecue and outdoor dining.

The house is on two floors (ground floor and basement)

The top is one-roomed apartment with kitchen, living room, sofa bed, 2 sofa beds (for a total of 4 beds), bathroom with shower, air conditioning, patio with wooden pergola, with table, chairs, sitting area, deck, TV Satellite P50.

In the lower part of the house there are two double bedrooms have a fan (one overlooking a terrace and the other is equipped with a window), a living room with two bunk beds (also overlooking the terrace) emergency sofa bed, (total 6 beds + two emergency), air conditioning, bathroom with shower and washing machine, terrace with gazebo, table and chairs.

The house is reached by a private road 3 meters wide (it is recommended the use of modest size cars).

A 2 km is a very large supermarket stocked with an excellent butcher.

Just 3.8 km you reach the small village of Scopello, which developed around a beam (agglomeration quadrangular walled, containing a spring and a hot-water trough in the center of the feud, where they carried out the construction of farm-pastoral farming). From the beam of Scopello you can begin a wide-ranging journey, visiting the old trap, or a tour of the many producers of ceramics. Or leave for the beautiful and unspoilt nature reserve Zingaro: small paths strategically drawn on the cliffs, down to the sea or climb up the mountains, giving us one of the most intact Mediterranean scenarios that are left.

If you are lucky, and if we respect the sacred silence that you breathe, you can admire: peregrine falcons, Bonelli's eagles, buzzards, kestrels, red kites, in an environment rich in endemic and rare plants that make the reserve a true oasis of biodiversity, which is the absolute queen dwarf palm - the symbol of the reserve - that comes up in every corner of the park and the cliff.

The fatigue of the walk is amply rewarded by a natural show of absolute beauty, and a refreshing bath in the clear and pristine beaches. The Zingaro Nature Reserve and the sea that laps its shores, because of their geographical location and the great depth of the water, can throw up meetings elsewhere considered extraordinary. It is not rare, especially in the spring and fall run into playful communities of dolphins, whales meet ocean, observe the gentle evolution of whales from breathing mighty and hoarse, or oddirittura of lazy whales.

But they are the seabed that gives divers the strongest emotions: sponges, anemones and madrepori brilliant colors play caverns and tunnels. Colonies of astroides illuminate the walls and crevices shady; sea fans stand with their leafy branches and worms show their multicolored downy. The slabs of rock, the submerged rocks, the steep edged and landslides are a natural refuge for white grouper, snapper, bream and croakers; tips and rocky cliffs that plunge into the blue, are the major attraction of tuna, Lecce and big amberjack. Evocative is also the underwater archaeological itinerary of the Faraglioni of Scopello.

The town of Castellammare del Golfo is only 6 km from where you can reach by special boats at the beautiful beach of San Vito Lo Capo.

A few kilometers you can reach other tourist destinations:

Alcamo 10 km, Balestrate 15 km, Segesta 25 km, 35 km Erice

Casetta da sogno in un mare da sogno!

  • 5 of 5

  • 5 of 5

  • 4 of 5

Car: necessary

The house is located near Guidaloca-Scopello. To reach it is necessary to use the car. Soon we come to the Zingaro Nature Reserve. A few kilometers from the chalet reach Scopello, an ancient fishing village that seems to be built on the site of the fabled city of Cetaria (whose name may derive from the abundance of tuna that inhabit the sea near the Faraglioni). The sheltered position of the Faraglioni, has made this place an important anchor point since ancient times, which can be seen from the large number of artifacts found on the seabed of this stretch of water. It is amphorae and other pottery remains Greek, Punic, African and Spanish. Just to allow visitors to admire these hidden wonders, established an archeological called "underwater museum" in which, through a top-guide that allows you to follow the logical sense of the itinerary, you can admire the finds on the seabed, all properly labeled and dated. The old trap of Scopello date from the fifteenth century. Past, over the centuries, several noble families and religious orders in 1874 was bought by Ignazio Florio. Fundamental for the economy of the area Castellammarese, the trap was active until the mid '900. The village of Scopello, located on the promontory that stands on stacks, built on a more ancient settlement, inhabited since the Hellenistic era, continued his life in Roman and Islamic. Included in the "royal domain" Norman, in 1235 Emperor Frederick II of Savoy granted the feud to the city of Erice. The village currently exists dates from the seventeenth century and houses a seventeenth-century farmhouse, which was built around a small, charming conglomeration farmer and the small church of Santa Maria delle Grazie.
