Due to Ryanair we started our holiday four days late, but I must say this was no fault
of HomeAway.
But getting to our apartment at 01-00 in the morning we were ready to sleep right away.
On the first visit to the bathroom, my wife found one towel with blood stains and also
the other towels were poor quality. On going to bed (there were to singles) one had a
very bad smell, and the bottom sheet looked as if it had been used and not been changed.
One of us slept on the sofa for the night. The next morning we stripped the bed. The mattress cover was badly stained. We turned the mattress over to air and washed all sheets.
In our opinion the bed and mattress should be replaced. the pillow slips were clean but the pillows were very yellow looking and uncomfortable. these also we feel need replacing .
This apartment could be very nice to stay at, as it is very close to all that we needed for
our holiday (cafes,bars,shops and seafront) but the owner and the agent INTERREAL in Carvoeiro need to contact each other, as we would never pay £600 for 14 nights in the future, there are nicer apartments (some with views) and do not cost so much.
Sorry HomeAway, but will not be using your booking site again.
