In the heart of the historical center of Cefalu just a few steps from Piazza Duomo and 200 meters from the sea, nice apartment finely and recently renovated.
Located in the city center, surrounded by shops and restaurants. The beach is a short walk. Discounts with the bathing establishment 'Punta Arenas'.
Located on the northern coast of Sicily, about 70 km from Palermo, Cefalu is a town of about 15 000 inhabitants and one of the major tourist attractions in the province of Palermo. The city, which is part of the Madonie (Regional Natural Park, which includes fifteen municipalities of the province) is included in the club of the most beautiful towns in Italy, which is a group of small Italian towns that stand out for artistic, cultural and Town and to the harmony of urban liveability and services to citizens. Probably built in the late fifth century. C, on a promontory dominated by an imposing rock, the name "Cefalu" comes from the greek Kefaloidion, the meaning of which is related to the characteristic shape of the rock that rises above it as a small head. Over the centuries the city was dominated by the Greeks, the Syracusans, Romans, Byzantines, Arabs and Normans, but traces of a settlement pre-Hellenic are the megalithic walls that surround the current center, and the Temple of Diana, located on the rock . Roman era is the regular urban layout, while traces of Byzantine (crenellated walls, barracks, storage tanks, churches and furnaces) are once again on the rock where at that time the inhabitants went to live. Cefalu is still best known for its medieval monuments.
The best restaurants and shops are within walking distance and the charming Piazza Duomo is around the corner.
The apartment is on a quiet street but very close to the main piazza and cathedral. We were on the second floor with two small balconies that offered a nice view. The apt is clean and well equipped; everything is new. We had a lovely week!
The good apartment, perfectly equipped and arranged with taste. All new, pure, convenient. Very friendly owners and really charming place. More looks like painting, " oil on canvase". :)
Ideal option for a family with children. Any problems, any remarks. For Piersandro and Giada our many thanks.
Alles in unmittelbarer Entfernung: Gelateria, Pizzeria, Souvenirläden, Panificio. Zum Strand läuft man ca. 10 min.
Wir haben uns mit Kleinkind sehr wohl gefühlt. Das einzige, was fehlte, war ein Kinderstuhl.
Great location in the centre of one of the most beautiful towns of Sicily. The apartment is equipped excellently, owners are friendly and helpful. Only drawback: Free parking is 10 to 15 mins away (but you would not want to park in the old town of Cefalu in any case). Cefalu itself is a perfect base for exploring all except the extreme south-east of Sicily. We had a lovely time.
"The appartment is new, beautiful and cosy. The flat is equipped with everything we needed. The location is great, in the center of city, next to the Cathedral. Living in this appartment you will fall in love with Cefalu:)"
Take Highway Palermo-Messina and exit at Cefalu. Turn right and continue for 2 km to arrive in the center of Cefalu.
So close to Piazza Duomo that cattredale, you can touch the balconies. The most popular shops and restaurants in the city are within walking distance as well as The museum 'Mandralisca', where there are works of the famous 'Antonello da Messina'. History and art come together in the wider culinary history cefaludese, all dominated by the 'Rock', a promontory 268 meters above sea level, overlooking the Norman town, on top of which is space 'The temple of Diana', megalithic construction of the ninth century. a.
