Venice's Best Kept Secret, Serene Home on Intracoastal Waterway

Bedrooms 3
Space 1,200 sq ft
Property type house
Minimum Stay 7 nights

About the property

Home on Intracoastal Waterway and Venetian Waterway Biking Trail

Venice's Best Kept Secret!! Tranquil pool home nestled in the trees at the edge of nature preserve, Intracoastal Waterway, and miles of paved bike/walking path. This three bedroom, two bathroom, pool home underwent renovation in 2015. The renovation included a new kitchen with hardwood maple cabinets and granite countertops. The master bathroom remodel included new cabinetry and all new fixtures, modern shower tile with "wood plank" floor tile . The laundry room was enlarged to allow for ease of use along with extra room for beach gear, etc. This amazing home is located on a dead-end street with a wooded area to the west and green space across the street to the north-east. The back of the home faces the sunset with glass-sliders opening out onto over-sized new paver lanai with gorgeous pool from master bedroom and entire expansive length of living room giving the feel of endless room. Although this property is populated with several beautiful trees, there is no shortage of sun!

The backyard is a peaceful sanctuary for Florida birds and a pass-through for the small timid bobcat. Walk forty steps off the backyard and you will be on the Venetian Waterway Bike/Walking Trail with miles of paved path that follow the Intracoastal Waterway and connect to the Legacy Trail which continues toward Sarasota. You can also bike to several businesses, restaurants, beaches, and parks on the island of Venice from the Venetian Waterway Trail.

Hop on your bike, take a walk, or relax on the bench (as pictured) and be mesmerized by the view because you are also on the Intracoastal Waterway. This is home to dolphins, manatees, and endless marine life. The Intracoastal Waterway runs parallel to the Gulf of Mexico and accommodates everything from kayaks to large yachts traveling locally or those traveling from northern parts of Florida toward the Keys.

This home is in a neighborhood with it's own private beach. Beach access is a mile south of the home and is accessed by ferry via the intracoastal waterway. This area also accommodates boat launching. Another bonus for this homes location is Shamrock Park. Shamrock Park is within walking distance of this amazing home and offers nature trails, tennis courts, basketball courts, large children's playground, picnic areas, and restrooms. It is also home to the Florida Scrub Jay (a blue robin-sized social bird) and several tortoises, not to mention large Florida birds.

This home is managed by Angie Lambrecht of Florida Coastal Realty & Rentals. Angie has a long and trusted reputation as a PM dating back to January 2010 with several listings on VRBO.

What makes this house unique

The location of this home is unbeatable. Enjoy Mother Nature from your doorstep as you relax poolside. The property is planted to attract butterflies and has a very active population of several types. While convenient to local shopping, restaurants, and beaches, this home abuts a nature preserve and Intracoastal Waterway and offers the opportunity to bike or walk for miles from the property on a paved path. Whether at the private beach or in the backyard there will be no chance for boredom here!!

Best place to stay in Venice!!

  • 5 of 5

With the Venician waterway bicycle path just out behind the house, the wonderful pool, and a short ferry ride to get you to the areas private beach....you cant go wrong. The house was stocked with almost everything we needed.. We ate breakfast there most mornings and by the time we got in from the beach each day we were too tired to cook. So we didnt ...we lazed around in the pool and spent quiet moments with our coffee out by the water way on the park bench watching the dolphins swim by. Wishing we could go back next month but will surely plan a trip back this fall! Angie answered all our questions and the binder she had fixed up for visitors was very helpful....LOVE THIS PLACE! Thank you Angie for a great experience for all 6 of us...

Venice's Best Kept Secret

  • 5 of 5

I'm not sure if we ever wrote a review of your property. We've rented a few VRBO properties in the past all the way from the west coast to the east coast and this house was one of the best if not the best! It's well equipped, spacious and in a beautiful setting. The owners are terrific people and available, also extremely helpful throughout our stay.

Many thanks for a wonderful time.

Wonderful Vacation House in Venice

  • 5 of 5

We just got back from a great week's stay at this house in Venice. The house had everything we needed and was in a very private spot. We loved the pool and especially the location!! We took full advantage of the Venice Waterway and Legacy Bike Trails - it was wonderful that the bike trail went right by the house!! The binder left in the house provided a wealth of information including great recommendations for restaurants!

One of my favorite vacations - we definitely would love to rent this house again!!

Fun in the Sun!

  • 5 of 5

Our family enjoyed the Ocala house very much. We vacationed there the third week of July 2017. The house was clean and well organized. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, dishes, etc. We prepared all our breakfast meals at the house with no problems. There were plenty of bath towels and beach towels. The pool was our favorite spot! We also enjoyed access to the Venetian waterway trail right out the backyard area.

The binder Angie provides is very helpful. We ate all our favorites (seafood, pizza, prime rib, ice cream...) all week long. We enjoyed at least four of the area beaches with Manasota being our favorite. One of our favorite spots was watching the sun set at the South Jetty where dolphins were usually playing.

We would recommend this vacation spot to anyone heading for the central Gulf Coast!

Owner's Response: I'm glad to hear you enjoyed your time in Venice! I have to agree. The jetty is a perfect place for the sunset while watching the dolphins play. I'd be happy to help you in the future with accommodations.
