Beautiful Townhouse In Warwick

This attractive townhouse style property consists of 2 bedrooms which both contain full en suite bathrooms. There is also a queen sofa and the entire unit sleeps six comfortably. One bedroom has a queen size bed while the other has one double bed and single bed and both contain flat screen televisions. Both bedrooms and full baths are contained on the upper level while the kitchen and living room are downstairs. The kitchen consists of a stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave (all stainless steal), kettle, toaster, utensils, cutlery, cookware etc. There is also an island with 2 chairs and a breakfast nook with a table and 4 chairs. The living room contains a sofa couch, love seat and television.

The 1,500 square foot unit is fully furnished and has air conditioning throughout. There is tile in the kitchen and bathrooms and wood flooring throughout the rest of the unit. There are walk-in closets, ample storage space, laundry facilities and a half bath on the ground level. The unit also comes equipped with internet and wifi, cable television, a telephone land line, towels and linen, iron and ironing board and parking. A large lawn and private patio are also available equipped with barbecue, outdoor table and chairs.

This is a non smoking unit that does not allow pets. Children are welcomed. Prearranged rides to grocery store and beach are available upon request. Laundry and cleaning services available upon request.

We had a wonderful 20th anniversary at Thomasina and George's beautiful home. It had all the amenities you could ever need or want and was very luxurious. Great location, very close to grocery and Swizzle Inn! We highly recommend this lovely home and cannot wait to return!

A charming and spacious retreat in Bermuda

This townhouse, part of a lovely, serene family "compound" , ticked all the boxes. It is spacious, clean, well-appointed, and the owner, Thomasina, is nearby in an adjacent home and VERY responsive to all our questions, needs, and requests for guidance and help. Being in Warwick Parish, the "mid-island" location is ideal for those of us who like to explore every inch of the Bermuda archipelago, but you must be aware that having transportation, in the form of motor scooters, will be necessary! We came to Bermuda to see the America's Cup final races, and Thomasina was enthusiastic and supportive of the event, and had awesome advice for the best places to see/eat/drink during the week. I would come back here anytime!!!

I loved the property. The appliances and furniture were all new. They had all of the modern conveniences and a quick walk up the hill showed amazing views of the island. Great place to stay. We'll be back.

Bermuda Away from Tourists

The name Village Outback suits the place. We would use it again but it would be unsuitable for some of our friends who are poor walkers. We were attracted to it, as it was near the South shore and had 2 en-suite bathrooms, at a reasonable price. As other friends considered joining us, we discussed with Thomasina the possibility of using the bed settee in the lounge and she was most helpful and you may not have to pay extra!

It was modern and large American style house with gas barbecue, American fridge-freezer and closets off each main room. No teapot, and no table lamps or drawers in the second bedroom let it down. The main bedroom was very nicely fitted out but the second bedroom which contained 2 beds did not compare ... look carefully at photos. They do not show the quiet fans and abundant windows. It has air conditioning but we did not need it.

The house sits on a large plot that also contains homes for Thomasina, her parents and her brother's family. They were all very welcoming and the ambience of the site is pleasant, surrounded by Bermudian houses. You will have escaped from the tourists and you can really get to know what it is like to live in Bermuda ... very enjoyable.

Bermuda is hilly and this location is no exception. There is a 100 yards steep slope to climb out of the accommodation and a similar distance to drop to reach the bus stop.

This is the terminal of the Ord Road bus, a bus that is rarely used by tourists, but is very convenient to get to Elbow Beach and Hamilton. Bus drivers cannot give change and so use bus tickets and passes obtained from Post Offices, information centres and hotels. Get a map, timetable and ask about transfer tickets. If lost open a map and locals will normally offer help. The bus allows you to talk to locals easily and that is a great pleasure.

The nearest bus stop is situated on the old railway trail. This 20 mile flat trail is a perfect walking artery through the whole island and it provides a delightful view of the fauna and flora as well as many attractive sea views. To get to the many beautiful South shore beaches walk about a mile along this trail and then walk a half mile South. Alternatively use hire bikes or the bus.

You will be pleased with the welcome you get in Bermuda if you get away from other tourists, and this accommodation will be a good starting point. 'Bermuda is another World' sings Hubert Smith And His Coral Islanders.... it is worth understanding why!

Beautiful house

This house is beautiful, bright and clean. Thomasina and her family were amazing. They had a family gathering one day and the children invited my toddler to play with them. It was so sweet and welcoming! The amenities are new and everything is kept spotless.

The only downside is the location. I don't think it would be a problem if you rent a scooter - in fact it'd be fun to zip around the hills of Warwick! But we had a toddler with us so a scooter was out of the question. The walk to the bus stops are on narrow, winding roads with no sidewalks (or any space to walk next to the road) so it felt dangerous taking a baby around. We rode the bus a lot, which was fun, but sometimes waiting for the bus was tiring especially with a grumpy kid. The closer #2 bus is an easier walk, but that bus doesn't go to the beach. The walk to the #7 bus to the beach was tough with the kid. The beach is just a few minutes away in a car or scooter, but the walk + waiting for the bus to the beaches is about 40 minutes all told.

So if you're going with older kids or no kids, this is a great spot!

The Elbow beach is 7 mins on the number 2 bus and there is no transfer, you could have also had lunch there.. I wish you would have had this information, Because the other two beaches are so close vacationers then to take a cab and then there are those that love the adventure of the bus.
