Situated on the Adirondack Lake this cabin built in 2006 features a luxury cabin experience. 4 bedrooms with either full, queen, or king bed and 3 full bathrooms. The basement is finished with a pull out sofa, wood burning stove, and laundry. The kitchen is updated with a full size refrigerator, microwave, stove, and dishwasher. Kitchen has an open concept plan to the large living room with picturesque views of the lake. A large deck with seating and a barbecue grill overlooks the beautiful views.
Indian Lake is home to 300 miles of hiking trails, and 8 lakes for fishing and boating. White water rafting is available on the Hudson River. The Cedar River Golf Course is open seasonally, just a 10 minute drive away. Winter is a great time to take advantage of the miles of snowmobiling trails, skiing at Gore Mountain, or showshoeing and cross country skiing on the trails. Plenty of local restaurants open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
I travelled here almost 40 years ago on business and I have been hooked ever since. We bought this piece of property as a vacation home and been coming ever since with my family. We have made many memories here, and as I am getting older I am not able to visit as often as I would like so we decided to start renting it out.
This is a beautiful place to visit, really gives you the cabin feel with modern amenities. It is a place to 'get away from it all' and spend time with family and friends. There are plenty of things to do each season from boating, to skiing, to hiking, to just relaxing.
The deck is a wonderful place to watch out over the lake and see wildlife. The views are breathtaking!
Our family - which included 4 adult children enjoyed a great week at this property. It was such a relief to arrive Saturday to see that the photos matched what we saw in person. We were not disappointed. Having 3 bathrooms was a bonus when there are several adults! The beach area and the deck were perfect for restful afternoons sitting by the water and enjoying the sunshine. The camp was easy to locate. Indian Lake is a quiet town but close enough to Blue Mountain Lake and the Adirondack Museum . It is also relatively close to other Adirondack destinations if you are looking for a day trip in the event of inclement weather and you do not want to spend the day at camp. The property owner was easy to work with and responsive. If you are looking for a quiet and comfortable week away in the Adirondacks, I would recommend this location and property.
5 Adults stayed and had plenty of room in this airy, bright house which also has a large deck for stargazing and listening to the Loons. Large kitchen well stocked with pots, plates and glasses, all you really need are your clothes. We spent evenings sitting by the fire pit and again listening to the Loons. There are many lakes in the area to explore for kayaking or hiking. Inside there's WiFi and direct TV for bad weather days. Or visit the Adirondack Museum. Tom the caretaker was helpful as well.
In the cute town of Indian Lake is the Indian Lake Restaurant and Pub which was surprisingly good. But make reservations in high season.
Only negatives are: master bedroom was musty and we needed to change the bedding. The carpets and floors could be cleaner. Being on the lake it's understandable that things get musty but a dehumidifier would go a long way.
All in all, great house and highly recommend it for a family or group of friends.
We had a wonderful week. The house is beautiful and comfortable, with plenty of space, and the owner and caretaker were very responsive to questions and needs that came up. We loved this spot on Lake Adirondack - the water was clear and the beach in front of the house was clean and kid friendly. We brought our own kayaks as there aren't any boats at this rental - although you can rent them from a place in town. The comfort peace and quiet was a welcome break.
Cabin was in great condition, clean and in an excellent location. The lake was quiet and serene. All in all, highly recommend this vacation spot!!
John was prompt in responding to all my questions. Property was well maintained. Would highly recommend it. Beautiful view of the lake as soon as you walked into the cabin.
Cabin was nice, roomy and clean. Only drawback is there is no boat for guests to use. You have to rent one from Pine's in town and it gets pricey if you want it for the length of your stay. And I never got my security deposit back even after I reached out to the owner a few times.
