We are professionals who have lived in the Seattle area most of our lives. We love to share the villa and surrounding areas with family, friends, and guests from around the world. Riley designed and built our home in 1980 and takes great pride in the architecture, the views, and the ambiance we have created. We continually are on site, enjoying making the grounds even more beautiful for everyone to enjoy. We have traveled to Italy for inspiration here at the villa. We practice LA DOLCE VITA daily!!!
Riley Watson purchased this villa in 1980
Because the views are SENSATIONAL!!!!! The hillside lots offered the opportunity to build a view home with unique gardens and enough room for a pickleball court. The drive up the hill reminded me of Sausilito and the Italian Amalfi Coast. The villa is in Kirkland, Washington, rated #5 Most Liveable City by Money Magazine. Our hillside and home are featured on the article's cover photo.
Originally built as a New York Contemporary, Riley has entirely converted the interior and exterior to Tuscan. We are 100% committed to living the Italian lifestyle. Come share it with us!!!! Summer allows us to hang sheets on the line, grow tomatoes, pomegranates, & grapes, smell the lavender and roses, and sip vino as we relax and enjoy the VIEWS!!!!!
Amy and her partner and friends were delightful guests. They were fun loving, interesting people, and we enjoyed getting to know them a little bit. They were very respectful and left the space in immaculate condition. Five stars all the way!
Riley very friendly and accommodating. Beautiful views and comfortable beds. Would stay again if we come back to Seattle.
We spent 7 days in Seattle/Kirkland during Christmas, and could not be happier about our choice to stay at this gorgeous Tuscan Villa. We were traveling with our daughter and son-in-law to spend the holiday with our son and grands. There is more than enough room. The villa is huge, and is decorated elegantly. The location feels remote and private, but is close to everything. The view is panoramic, and affords one a spectacular sunrise over Mt. Ranier. The kitchen is spacious and well stocked with any tools you need to prepare meals, including cookbooks! The gardens are magical. We plan to return to see it in full bloom. Our grandson enjoyed coming over to play basketball on the hilltop court. Even though the owners live above the villa, you have complete privacy, unless you need something. Riley is a pefect host. He had a big smile on his face whenever we saw him, and is so very gracious. We had a perfect stay. We will be back.
We really enjoyed our stay and the opportunity to bring family together. Comfy beds. Nice kitchen and living room area.
From start to finish our stay at the Tuscan Villa in Kirkland, WA was exactly like a getaway should be! Riley W. was quick to respond to questions and to accommodate our party, even including convenience items for a six month old baby. Payment through VRBO.com was easy and felt secure. The Homeaway app made checking in, splitting costs and locating the property and things to do extremely easy and enticing. We had a total of four adults and one baby staying for three nights as a sisters reunion of sorts. My oldest sister was the first to arrive. She met with a gracious, kind, and very personable owner who gave her the ins and outs of the property. It is a very well maintained and cleanly two bdrm, one bathroom, full kitchen and library/game room, basement level of their home. Complete with privacy and beautiful views of the sound. We quickly fell in love with our surroundings and abandoned almost all ideas of activities in the surrounding cities in favor of staying in and visiting with one another in total comfort. We cooked most meals using the kitchen and supplies on site and wanted for nothing. Riley introduced himself to rest of our group as we arrived and we all felt welcome and safe in his home. He also made certain to tell us he would be accessible through phone or text of we needed anything during our stay. We are hoping to stay here again! Can not recommend our accommodations or owner any higher.
If all you need is a perfect place to stay where 6 people can fit comfortably (i.e. 5 adults and 1 kid), where the views make even a rainy, windy day worthwhile (Lake Washington and Mt. Rainier anyone?), and where the host is not only attentive but generous and funny as well (Riley, we have been singing Food Fight for 3 days now), then stop looking and make your reservation now (You won't regret it!). The worst part, and I'll admit it was rough, was that we had to leave (I still can't believe it's over, I want to go back).
Our stay was better than imaginable. Riley (host) was so helpful. Showed us where everything was and made us feel so welcome. Such a positive happy guy we were so happy to have met.
The home itself is gorgeous, so clean and had everything we needed. The views were breathtaking and it was so peaceful and relaxing. We had 4 women staying for a 60 mile breast cancer walk and we couldn't have asked for anything better. I highly recommend it!!!
