Old world charm
Great location close to old city by tram and enjoyed the old world feel. Appreciated the good communication with Claudio and the extra help getting our forgotten cell phone back. Only disappointment was the broken washing machine but over all a nice stay. Thanks Claudio.
Perfect short stay
The apartment provided good value for our group of 4 adults and 2 children. Communication with Claudio the owner was excellent. He provided good direction and he was there to meet us when we arrived. We travelled from Florence Santa Maria train station by tram and then a walk of approx 5 minutes or so. Trams are very cheap and frequent. The apartment is in a very nice residential area with a great little cafe and a bakery across the road. Most shops and cafes in the area closed all day Sunday. Air conditioning was very good. Claudio was very helpful with storage of our cases on the day of departure. We would be happy to stay there again.
Pleasant stay in Florence
My family of 5 was in Florence for 2 days and we stayed at Claudio's. Must say Claudio was super responsive to all our questions from beginning to end. He also sent us very detailed instructions about the apartment and how to get there which was very helpful. He was also very flexible with our check in time which meant we didn't have to deposit our luggage at the Florence station which was a bonus. The apartment was clean when we arrived enough beds for all. The only surprise was we had to provide our own hand soap and shower gel. Luckily we arrived early enough to be able to get supply from town. The tram from the Florence train station was quite convenient. For sightseeing we took mostly the #6 bus. The only downside is the bus can be unpredictable and even though Google Maps told us it was coming, a few times we had to wait for the next one or two more trips before a bus showed up. Other than this, it was good value for a short stay in Florence.
Cute, rustic apartment in a handy neighbourhood
Great apartment. Clean, comfortable and with lots of character. Easy walk to the tram to get to and from the train station, and from there into the main attractions. Bakery across the road with delicious goodies and helpful staff. Claudio was easy to deal with and very informative.
Good Base for Exploring Florence
The owner was very helpful and communicative, and spoke good English. The apartment is in a quiet suburb, with convenient tram and bus links to the centre of Florence. There are small shops, good restaurants and a bank (with ATM) nearby, plus a large Coop supermarket. The standard of the apartment was fine, with a well-equipped kitchen, air conditioning and heating. 4.5 stars.
Charming apartment, nice neighbourhood
This tastefully furnished mezzanine apartment with vaulted ceilings was spotlessly clean and well stocked with everything one needs for everyday living, including free WiFi. As we stayed for two nights in August, when all the locals take their vacation; many shops and other businesses in the neighbourhood were closed but the quiet ambiance was relaxing after full days of sight-seeing. The owner answered all emails very promptly, despite being away on vacation himself. He has also prepared a very comprehensive information booklet for all guests, ranging from emergency phonenumbers to how to operate the air conditioner and recommended restaurants in the area. Despite claiming his ''English is not very good'' it is in fact close to perfect; and causes no language barrier at all to us who do not speak much Italian yet.
I highly recommend this accomodation to anyone visiting Firenze.
