This 1010 sq. ft. cabin, built in the summer of 2014, has 2 bedrooms and 1 bath and has a beautiful hillside view overlooking forest and a spring-fed creek. It has a full kitchen and even has a utility room with washer and dryer. It sleeps 4 people comfortably and has a queen bed in one room and a double bed in the other. About Paul Granier

My family of four have lived in the North Dallas area for the better part of 20 years. All of us have grown up in Texas and my wife and I have gone to university in Texas. And now we run a staffing/search firm in Dallas. We like getting away from it all from time to time and this is one of the main reasons we bought this fantastic cabin.

Paul Granier purchased this cabin in 2014

Why Paul Granier chose Oklahoma

We bought this cabin because we were looking for a quick getaway place near water that was within easy reach of Dallas. We had looked and looked but had never found a place that had an attractive lake, a great lot and a beautiful cabin on it. When I saw this one, I knew that that we had found the one we had been looking for and bought it immediately. This cabin, bought brand new in 2014, was built with personal pride that shows. It is immaculately furnished. It sits on 2.8 acres of mostly wooded land. And the 30-acre Legacy Trails neighborhood will be all vacation rental cabins set on 2-3 acres each with views of trees, rolling hills, creeks, wildlife and the Upper Mountain Fork river. Trust me, I am sure you will love it as much as we did when we discovered it.

What makes this cabin unique

If you want a secluded, peaceful getaway that is still close to the action, look no further. This cabin is set on 2.8 acres and is completely private. The view from the back deck is amazing and the Mountain Fork River is accessible from two different locations. Fishermen will love this location, for sure. Also, when the river is briskly flowing, it makes for an incredible kayaking experience. Check out the pictures to get a feel for the various river conditions.

The cabin is very high end and the beautiful workmanship on both the inside and the outside of the cabin are simply amazing. Just check out the pictures of the family room and kitchen!

There are many outside sitting areas. From the full length front porch with swing, the back porch for those that only want a 'little' nature to the fire pit area for those that truly want to 'feel' the outdoors. Make sure to look up at night and see the stars like you have never seen before.

The master bedroom has a queen bed and the second bedroom has a full size bed. There is also a full-length couch, love seat and a cot for guests that need to sleep more than 4. The kitchen is fully equipped with the latest in appliances and conveniences and there is even a laundry room with a full size washer and dryer.

And being the gadget guy that I am, I could not do without an excellent surround sound system and Blu-ray DVD player. There is a whole assortment of movies and games to choose from, but no satellite TV service. Didn't you come here to enjoy the outdoors anyway?

But for those of you that cannot live without internet, wireless internet is available (please limit video streaming to one movie per day).

As far as phone service, AT&T Wireless and Pine Cellular work well from within the cabin.

Guestbook comments from the manager

We had a great stay. Thank you! Thank you for making our first Valentine's Day so great. We really appreciate the heart shaped decorations and the chocolates. Hope to come again soon.

Amazing!

  • 4 of 5

We really enjoyed everything about this place! The poor freezer was packed full of rainbow trout. The view was fabulously relaxing every morning and evening. The people here were exceptional with all kinds of good advice and information. If you choose this cabin, I recommend sitting on the back deck watching the beautiful birds while drinking coffee.

Relaxing Getaway

  • 5 of 5

This was our second visit to the cabin. It is beautiful and comfortable and a great place to go if you want just a place to chill. It was especially nice to be able to bring our young dog, Lucky. He enjoyed the many walks to explore. Everything about the cabin is wonderful. The only thing I would suggest is a way to improve the sound on the TV. We brought a couple of movies and though we tried to adjust the sound in the menu, the sound provided by the TV speakers made the sound unclear. It seems to us that before when we visited there was a surround sound system. It's a minor thing, but thought it worth mentioning. We loved seeing where more cabins were being added. We hope to try your Hilltop Getaway some time when we can bring the family. We loved that it set up higher and it looks like there are some beautiful views there. We visited the river a couple of times. On Saturday we spent the afternoon so my husband could fish. While he was hoping to do some catch and release, he only caught a turtle. But it was very relaxing. We met the gentleman who has the two story house. Everyone was very friendly. The weather was just perfect and we enjoyed the relaxing weekend. One highlight was sitting out on the deck and observing the stars. What a sight to behold!

It was a beautiful getaway that had it all.

  • 5 of 5

We couldn't have asked for a better getaway. My husband surprised me and booked this beautiful cabin for a quiet weekend away. The cabin is nestled in the woods away from all outside noise. We loved the deck overlooking the trees and the fire pit and grill were perfect for the cool evenings. The inside of the cabin is just as nice. Even after 3 nights we did not want to leave.

Thank you for sharing your cabin with us. It was just what we needed! We look forward to renting it again!

Great for romantic getaway

  • 5 of 5

This was a great place for my girlfriend and I to get away. I loved the amenities: wifi, automatic temp controlled fireplace, and tv with surround sound. The place had an incredibly comfy atmosphere. I spent much of my time reading on the back porch. It's also a relatively short drive to beavers bend!
