Description

Photos and Description of this 3 bedroom holiday home in Marco Island

3 berdroom 2 baths

Our 3 bedroom 2 bath private home is 2000 sqft under air, 700 sqft of covered screened in, entertaining/lounging area, a heated pool, dock on a canal, and is 1 mile from Residents’ Beach. The house is on a quiet short street with great neighbors.

Feel comfortable and connected in the updated central kitchen with its large sliding window above the sink, opening to the pool area. The kitchen separates the master suite on one side of the house from the other 2 bedrooms on the other side of the house. The heated pool, dock on a canal and screened in lanai make this a complete package you won’t want to leave. Our home has a wonderful flow with sliders that open completely for easy access and that outdoor living feeling both from the dining room and family room. We also have a formal living room as well as family room with wide screen TV allowing all to have ‘their’ space. Newer furnishings throughout are comfortable and attractive. Pool access from second bath gives easy access to facilities, changing area, and shower. The larger pool has stairs for easy access. As a bonus there is a very productive orange tree on the property for your fresh daily intake of vitamin C, in season and a newly planted lime tree.

Restaurants on or off the beach, shopping, and churches are mostly within 1 mile for easy walking or biking. The YMCA and local Tennis Club are available for tennis and recreation with classes for all ages (for a fee). There is a farmers market on Wednesdays at the Veterans Park an opportunity not to be missed. Stan's on the weekend puts on a show just up the road in Goodland that you'll never forget. Beer, dancing, food, its all there and more. Although Residents’ Beach requires a pass, it is well worth the investment for the uncrowded beach, snack bar, and restroom facilities, plus events and lots of parking. No access is allowed either direction to this beach without a pass and it is strictly enforced. There are other beach access points along the shore, although parking is limited with the exception of Tiger Tail beach, where there is more parking and facilities, and I believe they are free.

Just up the road (15 or so miles) is Naples. It is everything Marco is not. Big city, lots of shopping, traffic, and everything else you would expect in a major city

Marco, on the other hand, is surprising with its uncrowded streets and ease of access to any part of the island. Feel safe walking, riding your bike (or a rental) on the bike paths or the sidewalk to any part of the island at any time day or night as crime is almost nonexistent.

Come enjoy Marco Island. I promise you will not be disappointed.

About The Owner

We always wanted a have property in Florida. We looked for the perfect place for many years until we found Marco Island. We bought a time share, but it just didn't give us enough time, so we bought a condo, but that didn't give us enough privacy. We wanted our own pool and grill. Finally we found the perfect house, on the canal, with a pool, and easy walk to the beach. One day, we will retire here.

The Owner purchased this house in 2014

Why The Owner chose Florida South Gulf Coast

Marco Island is the perfect vacation location if you want a quite, safe, warm location near the beach with perfect weather all year long. On the island, you leave the hectic pace behind. Even though there are some great restaurants and bands playing at the large hotels on the beach, it's also easy to escape all the noise and lights, and walk a beach that is untouched by large development. When you cross the bridge to Marco Island, you've arrived in paradise.

What makes this house unique

When you sit on the dock in the morning, and if you're quiet, you can see the fish swimming around the dock, and if you're lucky, you can even see dolphins jumping and playing in the canal. The huge screened in pool area gives the feeling of outdoor living where you can grill your dinner, and sit around the outdoor table and relax. But before dinner, walk to the beach and watch the sunset, and sometimes, you'll even see the green flash.

Thomas H from Newburgh, IN recommends this vacation rental

This is a beautiful home in a very convenient location on a quiet street. Access to shopping, dining and beaches was very easy without having to go through the construction in downtown Marco. Kitchen appliances are new. The lanai and pool are quite large and are a great place to relax or entertain. The home was well-stocked with games, puzzles, and CD's. Everything was very clean and the owner showed exceptional interest in making sure our stay was enjoyable. The rental company was easy to work with. Overall, we had a great stay and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to anyone. We definitely hope to stay there again.

The pool---aaah!

Loved our 2-week stay in this lovely home, where we could step out to the lanai to the enclosed pool whenever we wanted. Pool temp was fine, weather was hot, but water felt just right. Hubby enjoyed fishing off the deck although he didn't catch anything to keep. He did see a large tarpon one day. Home is well equipped: fishing pole or two (brought our own reels), beach cooler and push cart, umbrella, chairs and pool floats. Kitchen had nearly everything I wanted except a pitcher to make iced tea (we bought one and left it) and a whisk. A drying rack for dishes would help. Plenty of towels. Washer and dryer worked fine. Some simple instructions on how operate the TV and entertainment devices in the family room would have allowed us to use that TV since we could only turn it on and watch one channel. Bedroom TVs were fine. Because we were not there "in season" there was not much traffic around town or any long waits for restaurants. Although we grilled at the house a lot, we ate out some nights. Café deMarco was our favorite. We took several trips over to Naples, which is only a 20 minute drive. Had a nice anniversary dinner at Trulucks; their customer service is outstanding and the food was great. The beaches: You have to work at getting onto the beach in Marco since public access is limited. We went to Tigertail once and hauled our beach stuff the half mile or so to the beach. Yes, it was a nice uncrowded beach, but we seniors found the trek rather arduous. We really liked Lowdermilk beach in Naples--easy access, good parking, rest rooms, and a concession stand with decent food. We stayed to watch the sunset and weren't disappointed. This trip was a relaxing respite for the two of us. If you are more outdoorsy than we are, there are water and boating activities to enjoy. We went down to Everglades City and took a Speedy airboat ride, which was fun. Not much wildlife to see in the swamp this time of year, but they told us about a river nearby where the alligators seek fresh water, so we drove down the long gravel rode and stopped several places along the water and saw some gators. Also a flock of huge scary-looking black buzzards and a yearling. We would definitely recommend this home. There are a few items pending renovation but absolutely nothing that isn't completely usable. Beds were comfortable, living and dining room furniture very nice, and master bath sink area is great. Lots of storage space so you can completely unpack. Stay a month or more!

I would highly recommend this great property: perfect for a family or for anyone looking for a quiet, relaxing, poolside and canal side stay. Great location to access anywhere on marco.

Resident's Beach

The area is best if white silky sand beaches are a requirement for your vacation spot. Resident's Beach offers access to 3 miles of beach which are available for running walking, shelling sunbathing and swimming. There are other entrances to the main beach not requiring a pass but parking in the area is limited and one needs to have a strategy. Tigertail Beach at the north end of the island is more natural and draws fewer people plus there is parking on a limited basis as well and no pass is required.
