Photos and Description of this 2 bedroom holiday cabin in Celina - Hill Top Haven

2 Bedroom, one bath with woodburning stove, 4 private acres

When you arrive at Hill Top Haven, one of the first things you will notice is the view of the valley. As you enjoy sitting on the large front porch, you will notice how the park like property is void of the normal man made noise, yet full of the sights, sounds, and smells of nature. The cabin is an open floor plan with cozy couch, 55 inch Smart TV next to a wood-burning stove.

After a busy day, rest in a King size bed or Full bunk beds that gives plenty of room for kids or another couple. Don't forget we have a queen size comfy sleeper.

The washer and dryer are located in the bathroom.

With our easy access kitchen, supplied with everything you need to fix a great meal, or BBQ some of your favorites outside on the grill on the fantastic covered porch. If you really want a break from cooking, Celina has a great Mexican restaurant or Meat and 3 that will satisfy, also, Gainesboro with its real English Pub.

The" Man Cave", is out back, check it out! Then stroll on down to our fire pit with grill top, at the end of the path overlooking the Cumberland River. It is a fantastic place to grill Hot Dogs, and fix Smores, all with a Million Dollar view!

About Jan West

We (there are 4 of us), love Tennessee, especially this part. Nashville is our hometown. Dale Hollow Lake is our favorite lake.

When we found this property, it was a no-brainer...had to have it!

We love the water, hills, valleys, wildlife and fresh air, its all right here.

Jan West purchased this cabin in 2014

Why Jan West chose Tennessee

When looking for a getaway that could be shared with other guests, we knew it had to be private, with a huge front porch to hang out on, no matter what the weather. We wanted a clean, ranch style cabin. A wood burning stove was a must, as well as spacious, but maturely wooded acreage.

In other words, we were looking for a Park like setting...its all here!

What makes this cabin unique

Being here, and being quiet, you can see many deer resting on the valley below us, and as they travel around, you will see them hanging out by our fire-pit, licking on the salt block.

If you are real quiet, there are Great Horned Owls that will hang out in one of the trees near the cabin, or Bald Eagles off the Cumberland River View. The bird feeder out front is great for watching red birds, blue birds, and the occasional Gross Beak. Summer brings the Hummingbirds, lots of them!

Year round enjoy the many wild turkeys, and Red Fox that visit.

Of course, you are probably well aware that the World Record Smallmouth Bass came out of beautiful Dale Hollow Lake. But, did you know that the Cumberland River is also know for Brown Trout and Stripper fishing? And lets not forget the Obey River for Trout fishing and Canoeing.

Beautiful Cabin

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful, relaxing stay at Hilltop Haven. The cabin was stocked with all possible amenities. The location was perfect for a weekend away from the hustle and bustle of the busy city atmosphere. We most definitely look forward to returning.

Where do you live?

Very nice and comfortable!

  • 4 of 5

Cabin is small but cozy -- two bedrooms, one bath. Surrounding scenery is gorgeous! Beds were very comfortable and kitchen was adequately supplied. All in all, a very nice and enjoyable experience. The only complaint I have is there was no cable (only Netflix) and the wifi as well as your phones did not work well at all! If you're looking for a place to get away from it all -- this is definitely it! Very nice porch -- good place to relax and read : )

Wonderful getaway!

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time at this property. It was secluded and allowed our young children and dog to run and play carefree. The updated home was decorated tastefully, clean, and cozy. Loved the view, eating outdoors, hearing the cows from neighboring farms. Would definitely recommend.

Plan to spend a little time in Celina. We have never seen anyplace like it. Surrounded by 3 different water ways. Dale Hollow Lake, the Obey and Cumberland Rivers. There are several nice shops and restaurants. Celina has been able to preserve their small town charm even with all the attention that World Famous Dale Hollow Lake brings its way.

Another nearby town, Gainesboro, Tn has even more attractions such as restaurants, shops, and Civil War history.
