Apartment very well located and overlooking the port of Mahon

It located in a very quiet area with great views, near restaurants, bus stop just 500 meters. a pool with great views from the apartment has spectacular views of Mahon harbor.

The apartment is a new construction with Wi-Fi and TV. two bedrooms with two bathrooms, a balcony where you can spend a pleasant evening gatherings with family or with friends.

The entry into the apartment must be made 12 hours noon onwards

The output of the apartment will take place from 8 to 10 o'clock in the morning.

An excellent location

We were given a first class welcome and introduction, even though our flight was 1.5 hours late and we did not arrive until late evening. The first floor apartment (easy stairs and also a lift) was satisfactorily appointed and was tidy, clean and afforded excellent views, from from the living area and balcony, across Mahon harbour to Cala Llonga, one of the most exclusive residential areas on the island. The good-sized balcony overlooked the water and was north-facing, which shaded it from the sun and so it and the whole apartment was kept refreshingly cool. If you want to sit in the sun, go down by the pool. There were always boats to look out onto going back and forth - so plenty to look out on too. We got out onto the water ourselves on a harbour cruise with English commentary, which gave an outline of the history of all the defensive fortifications built by the British and Spanish in centuries past. Free parking was always available but not always on the street outside (car park a couple of streets away). We found north-east Menorca the prettiest area on the island so Es Castell was a good location for making short trips out. There are also excellent restaurants in the area especially in Cales Fontes harbour area. Ask the owner for his recommendations. We went to three of them and were certainly not disappointed. We certainly enjoyed this laid-back holiday just reading, wandering around and people-watching while sitting at bars and cooling down with the odd drink. Walking along Mahon harbour is something quite out of this world with all of the super-yachts moored up. A thoroughly recommended holiday! A further plus was the easy communication with the owner through the HomeAway website.

Excellent location and views

We spent 4 weeks in a very comfortable good size Apartment, with great views from the balcony overlooking the pool and estuary. The complex is in an excellent location in Es Castell, close to restaurants and mini super market. Juan was very helpful and responded immediately to deal with a couple of minor problems re hot water. We would highly recommend a stay to our friends & family. We concur with the previous review about parking spaces, but in fact, with an excellent bus service a car isn't really necessary.

Exceptional apartment and location

We spent a week at Juan's gorgeous two bed apartment in August. We were two couples, and the apartment was a great size for our needs. We spent most of our time on the balcony overlooking the pool and harbour, but there are two additional balconies on each bedroom, so no shortage of space. The pool itself is great - huge, and not too crowded (even in August). There's also a pathway down to the sea if you prefer snorkelling.

Location couldn't be better: 20 minutes from the airport by car; 10 minutes walk to Cala Fonts with all it's many restaurants and bars; and a short taxi to Mahon/the Port.

Parking can be a little challenging. You'll need to be a confident parallel parker, and even then you might struggle to find a space on the road of the apartment, but, hey, that's Menorca.

We will stay again in a heartbeat.

A fantastic place to stay

A lovely two bedroom apartment, immaculate, well equipped in a beautiful location in a quiet and compact complex with a large swimming pool overlooking the entrance to Mahon harbour. The owner is friendly and helpful and we were met on arrival to hand over the keys, explain the facilities and ensure we had everything we needed. The apartment is close to shops in Es Castell and within walking distance of restaurants etc in Calas Fonts.We have stayed here before, and hope to again, it's one of our favourite places and highly recommend it.

Wonderful

This is the second time we have stayed here and hopefully it won't be the last. The apartment is in a beautiful part of Menorca, the sea views are an added bonus. We spent a lot of time sitting on the balcony watching the boats come and go. The apartment itself is immaculately clean with two good sized bedrooms, a well equipped kitchen, a comfortable lounge and two bathrooms, both with showers. The complex itself is not huge and quite peaceful, there is a lovely swimming pool and a large terrace equipped with sun beds, overlooking the entrance to Mahon harbour.

On arrival we were pleased to see that the owner had thoughtfully provided milk, water, juice and a bottle of wine in the spacious fridge. Plus a small basket containing tea, coffee and croissants. There is a little supermarket just around the corner, where most necessities can be found.

It is an easy walk from the apartment to Calas Fonts, where there are plenty of bars and restaurants.

There is no specified parking area for the apartment , but this does not present a problem as space can usually be found on the streets around the apartment.

The owner is very pleasant and helpful and replies to emails promptly, and arranges for you to be met on arrival with the keys to the apartment.

We have thoroughly enjoyed both our stays here.

Beautiful sea view, lovely apartment

This is a lovely two bedroom apartment with two bathrooms, balcony overlooking the pool and beautiful sea views over the harbour towards Mahon. The modern apartment was spotlessly clean, tastefully furnished and well equipped with dishwasher, fridge/freezer, washing machine and even a tumble drier. There are good quality ceiling fans to the living room and both bedrooms - very welcome in the summer conditions. Excellent service - the owners greeted us on arrival, made us feel welcome, and had very thoughtfully provided some basic provisions so that an immediate shopping trip was not necessary. A faulty kettle discovered the next morning was replaced with a new one within a couple of hours of reporting it.

The location is within a quiet residential area with a supermarket just around the corner, and it is only a 5 minute walk from the centre of Es Castell. Calas Fonts is also nearby and you will find many bars and restaurants here around the picturesque harbourside. Es Castell has no beach but it makes a good base to get around the island if you have a car, and you can easily get to Mahon by bus, or taxi.

We stayed here for two weeks and would definitely return.
