Perfect weekend, perfect rental!

  • 5 of 5

Love love love this canal house! Wonderful fishing right out your back door and steps from the beach front the front door! Excellent green space for the four legged family members. Super clean and accommodating rental. The owners are very close by and helpful but also allow you the privacy you desire in your own rental. So very pet friendly! The rental is obviously adorable on the outside and fully equipped on the inside. It is a come as you are, drop your bags and hit the water property. The decks on the canals are wonderful and we caught several large red fish, the crabbing was great as well. Centrally located to awesome eateries and small stores. If you want to drop a hook in the water or play in the beach this is the place for you! So pleased we found this gem! We are planning our next trip tonight! Thanks Dupont family!

Fishing, walking on the beach, shell collecting, privacy, pet friendly and a wonderful place to visit. Lake Jackson is a town close by that has what you may need or forgot. Watching the swing bride open and shut was fascinating as well. Thank you!

Perfect get away

  • 5 of 5

Great owner and great cabin, pictures are exactly as it is, very clean. The owner is amazing, I would recommend this cabin to anyone who wants to get away and fish. The location is great and has everything you need. This is our second stay and we enjoy the cabin so well that we never leave to go eat or anything, we have our meals at the cabin. Very enjoyable a great place, you won't be disappointed. My family loves it.

Awesome Location

  • 5 of 5

This rental was amazing. First the cabin was maintained it had everything we needed. We cooked our meals with no problems at all. The fishing was amazing, the pier was amazing. The pier was not like most, it was large it was sturdy, even included a double stainless steel sink for washing your hands and or cleaning fish. Plenty of hot water, there were 6 of us and we never ran out of hot water or even took a luke warm shower. The pier was literally right outside the back door, we drank coffee watching 3 dolphins play it was so awesome. We sat on the pier an watched barges and tug boats and beautiful sunsets. Our trip was one of the best trips we have ever taken, we didn't want to leave. If you just want to relax and get away it's perfect, my son loves to fish he had a blast, caught over 60 fish. My grand kids love it too, they played out, they would fish then go in and play games or watch movies and go again. I would recommend this cabin to anyone that is mature and responsible, very quiet location. The owner was close by if you needed anything, him and his wife were available. We didn't really need anything but he was great help in knowing what we were catching when fishing. If he saw us outside he would stop and just say hi and ask how we were if we needed anything. The photos do not do the cabin justice. The Murphey beds were actually my concern but they were very comfortable. Traveling in July I would bring a fan. The cabin has two air conditioners that work very well, and ceiling fans, but if you get hot easy and take awhile to cool down like I do the fan helped me. Other than bringing a fan it was all there. We have dogs (our babies) they were very comfortable too, Shade in the morning for them, windows to see us through in the middle and late afternoon of the day, shade in the evening. Totally pet friendly. We really enjoyed our stay. Can't wait until we can go again.

Just Right Cabin

  • 4 of 5

This cabin had everything we needed, the Murphey Beds are actually quite comfortable. If you are a fisherman this is perfect, we actually just enjoyed sitting on the pier watching the tug boats. The owner has tried to think of everything you might need. The shower is seperate from the toilet, which is a good thing. However, there isn't much room for dressing in the shower area so if you are sharing the cabin with lots of people bring something to throw on so that you can go dress in another room. Not a big deal if you are prepared for it. We really enjoyed our stay.
