Our clean, fresh, and peaceful home is conveniently located just minutes from downtown by car, bike or public transit. We are 3 blocks away from both a light rail stop and new seasons market. Also close by are several great bars and restaurants, Adidas head quarters and Mississippi shopping district. The home is decorated with a nice mix of new and vintage. The large bathroom has a claw foot tub for soaking and the sectional in the living room pulls out to sleep two. Hardwood floors in the living room, dining and bedroom, cork floors in the kitchen and hexagon tile in the bathroom. This home is bright and warm and in a vibrant neighborhood. There is a front loading washer and dryer in the basement. We live in the house next door and and are happy to share any local advice or answer ant questions.
We are a family of three. Ty is an avid white water kayaker and we both enjoy surfing, winter sports, and hiking and camping in the beautiful northwest. We have traveled together lots in Mexico and in the Italian and french alps. Sarah is an avid gardener and you will likely see her digging in the yard with our dog Banjo close by. We keep chickens in our yard so you might get some fresh eggs on your porch.
Sarah and Ty purchased this house in 2014
This home belonged to our longtime neighbor and friend John who sadly passed away last year. We scraped together all of our resources and through the help of several friends and family were able to purchase the home and complete an extensive remodel. We did it all ourselves and are proud of the results.
This is a stand alone home so you will have lots of privacy which we respect but since we live right next door we are also available if should need anything during your stay or would like local advice.
The bungalow was the best place we stayed of 4 places for a 10 day trip to Oregon. The house is room, comfortable and quiet. Close enough to downtown to get to main attractions but in a quiet neighborhood. The kitchen is outfitted well. The bed was very comfortable. Ty & Sara were wonderfully responsive regarding any questions and concerns. We were able to do laundry, relax, etc. The sitting area in the backyard is peaceful and secluded. Highly recommend for couples! Would stay here again! Arts district is a nice walking area - eat at Petite Provence.
Cute bungalow in a great central location in cool Portland, very comfortable, quiet street, highly recommended!
Such a well-maintained home. Perfectly situated near the middle of town - could get anywhere you needed to by car. Very low maintenance owners who provided absolutely everything we needed.
Loved this cute little house! It was cozy, comfortable and offered everything we needed. We would definitely stay again!
Well cared for house on a quiet block. The bungalow is so convenient to downtown, Alberta district and the MLK corridor. My 16 year old son and I were visiting his sister/my daughter who also lived NW, so 10 minutes from her house, 15 minutes to Powell's or Washington Park. REALLY ideal, and the house is both cute and highly functional.
We had a great stay - so much better than staying at a hotel as we were able to bring the dog, cook meals, and not worry about the boys making too much noise.

I will allow a small well behaved dog on a case by case basis. Travelers must agree to not let them on the bed or couch and not leave them alone in the house uncrated.
