About Stephen Foreman

This property is co-owned by 2 married couples who happen to be great friends, the Foremans and the Nussbaums. Stephen and Kelli Foreman have been Kodiak locals for 10 years after growing up in Nebraska. Stephen and Kelli have 2 young boys (2 & 4) that keep them quite busy and entertained:) Stephen works as an educator in the Kodiak Island Borough School District while Kelli works at the Kodiak Baptist Mission. Ted and Kathy Nussbaum brought their young children from Oregon to Kodiak 18 years ago and still feel privileged to call Kodiak home. Ted is an educator with the Kodiak Island Borough School District while Kathy works as a Palliative Care Nurse Practitioner at Providence Kodiak Island Medical Center. We enjoy gill netting for salmon, long-lining for halibut, sport fishing, kayaking, backpacking, hiking, and exploring our beautiful island. We continue to be amazed and blessed to call this place home! It is with much joy that we are able to offer you a great place to stay during your unforgettable Kodiak experience. Come and see!

In one word..OUTSTANDING!!!!

  • 5 of 5

We rented Stephens property for a weeklong stay in Kodiak during our annual fishing trip. Over the years we've stayed in motels, but this was far more comfortable and at a comparable cost. Stephen was an excellent host and responded quickly to any questions that we had.

Our party consisted of four guys and it was nice to have plenty of room for us and all our gear. Everyday we returned with wet waders and rain jackets, that were hung downstairs in the laundry/boiler room to quickly dry. A large living room, kitchen and dining room provided space to prep meals, eat and relax. The bedrooms all had plenty of space with comfortable beds. We never felt crowded and quickly got used to our home away from home.

The location is extremely convenient, with parking immediately by the front door. This was important as we loaded/unloaded gear from the car everyday. We were literally just minutes from downtown and the grocery store. It was exactly what we were looking for.

I would certainly use this property again for a future visit to Kodiak.

Super comfy and convenient

  • 5 of 5

I stayed twice at the apartment and everybody really enjoyed the place. Very comfortable for 6 persons with a well equipped kitchen, clean rooms and bathroom, and a large dining and tv area. Washing and drying machines were more than appreciated after a remote trip. We also loved the location with the view on the ocean and the proximity of the port and the seaplane airport. We walked to the restaurants (Old Powerhouse and Henry's), the liquor store and to buy fishing gear.

Owner came by to offer some fish (excellent by the way) and took time to talk to us about the place.

We will sure be back on our next trip to Kodiak.

Kodiak Alaska

  • 5 of 5

I have been to Kodiak many times on vacation and finally found the perfect home to rent. It is a very modern and spotless home overlooking the ocean inlet to Kodiak. We cooked fresh fish several nights and dined with a great view of ships entering and leaving the harbor. The kitchen was fully stocked with every untensil we needed….

The owner met us at the home and geve us a great walk through along with ideas of things to do while in Kodiak. Couldn't have been nicer !

The location was perfect..just a minute from the harbor for our sport fishing charters…and close to all the restaurants as well…

The weather can be rainy, so having a nice house to spread out in and relax, play games with the family etc was great. The large screen TV was a hit on the rainy days.

We fished with Happy Hooker Charters and went 4 wheeling with Salty Fly Safaris…both get 5 stars along with this home.

Great trip - great home to rent !

Enjoy your morning coffee and watch the boats head out for the day!

  • 5 of 5

This house provides each visitor with everything they need! Spacious living areas, comfortable beds, a great kitchen and a beautiful view of the water. The kitchen is fully stocked so you can prepare the halibut you caught that day! Another huge plus...location! Close to downtown Kodiak or for that quick run to the grocery store. This rental is perfect. The large picture windows are a bonus! We enjoyed our stay very much. Thank you!

Great updated home!!

  • 5 of 5

This was an awesome house with big picture windows that you can see the ocean from. All the appliances are very nice high quality and new. It was great that there is a fish cooler included so we didn't get fish in the rental car. Great location close to town.

Perfect spot in Kodiak!

  • 5 of 5

We visited from Homer, just a ferry ride away, and it was a perfect home-away-from-home! Conveniently located, very clean, owners very attentive, all the luxuries we could think to even hope for! We loved watching the boats come and go through the channel ... take your binoculars! Comfy beds, everything we needed for cooking, on site washer and dryer, BIG mud room to dry out all our fishing gear ... it really was perfect for our family get-away! So glad we found your place!
