Beautiful, light, bright 2 bedroom, 2 full bath, top floor condominium steps from some of LA's premier shopping and dining. Unlike many properties, this is our clean and lovingly cared for home, not a corporate-managed business venture.
This condo, located in a secure building, features a beautiful full kitchen, eating area, expansive family room, and cozy balcony. The bedrooms contain a single (twin bed) and luxury Select Comfort Sleep Number double (full) bed in the secondary bedroom, and a queen size, luxury, memory foam bed with en suite bathroom in the master bedroom. Both rooms provide luxury linens. Central heat, AC, ceiling fans throughout. TV with local HDTV channels and dvd player in family room (so bring your favorite movies). Street parking via provided permit. Why stay at a hotel when you can instead stay in an executive condo?
We enjoyed our stay and have sent the owner some suggestions that would have made our stay even better. This is an older property but if your like us we plan to eat breakfast and sleep in our home away from home. The location is awesome close to the Americana and lots of restaurants. The beds very comfortable. I travel extensively and if the owner takes our suggestions this will be a 5 star property, for what she charges. Remember you get what you pay for. This property is a good deal.
There are pros and cons to staying at this property. I'll start with the pros: the locations was great! It was close to our families home as well as Universal Stuidos (20 min drive) and the LA zoo (10 min drive). It also had plenty of room for us and our 2 kids. Having a 2nd bathroom was great! There's a lot of walking traffic and the neighborhood is very lively. I walked to Panera and Portos for breakfast in the morning. Now for the cons: parking is a nightmare! Fortunately we had family drop us off and pick us up, but if you are driving yourself be prepared to spend time finding a spot. There is a French press coffee available there, but who has time to grind beans and mess with all that on vacation. A Keurig coffee maker would be much more convenient! I had to walk every morning to get coffee. The building itself is old and does not look inviting on the outside, the "condo" is just an older refurbished apartment. Now here is the biggie.... The master bedroom mattress is TERRIBLE! Our backs were killing us and didn't sleep well at all! I would suggest investing in a new, comfy mattress. We won't stay there again due to the mattress alone!
Danielle's apartment was a lovely place to stay. It made our 2 day stay in LA an enjoyable time. The apartment is in a handy location with shops and restaurants 1 block away. It is 15-20 mins from Hollywood even closer to Griffith Park Observatory and 45-60min to Disneyland depending on traffic. We Ubered every where which worked out really well.
The apartment itself was a perfect size for myself and two 20 year old kids. We didn't use the kitchen but it looked like it had everything you need to cook up a meal. The beds were so comfortable!!! The apartment was clean and tidy and I would highly recommend this as a home away from home place to stay : )
Convenient downtown Glendale location. Safe neighborhood. Close to the Americana and public transportation. Location is the only benefit of this property.
The condominium community itself is old and not very well maintained. Parking can be a challenge and you may have to walk a few blocks. The unit itself is clean and an acceptable size for up to 4 people. However, pack light because most of the closet space is filled with the owners personal effects and there isnt any drawer storage. Additionally, the apartment lacks many other common amenities. There's no cable! No channel guide for over the air tv! And the ONLY tv is very small, flat screen monitor in the LR. The kitchen does not have a dishwasher, ice maker or electric coffee pot. However, the owner left food in the cabinets & refrigerator with instructions to use or not to touch, which is strange for a rental.
Despite the above issues, I may have given the property one more star, if the owner didn't stiff me on the deposit. We left the unit exactly as we had found it, the owner failed to return nearly all of the significant deposit that was required.. She claimed a mistake on her part and corrected it. However, she did withhold funds for an unwarranted charge.
I am returning to the area for a longer stay next month and will definitely look elsewhere for accommodations. I suggest you do too, if you are considering this Glendale property.
This place is nice and the area is really good also. Danielle was very good to deal with.
Our overall experience was great. My husband, myself and our 3 children came out to LA to visit family and enjoy the area. We loved the location of the condo, located only a block from Brand Street. Great shopping and eating, tons of entertainment. Very safe area. Our son would walk to Porto's Cafe early in the am and the girls would walk up and down Brand shopping, day or night. Also centrally located to all the great areas LA has to offer...The condo itself was great. Plenty of room for the 5 of us and having the two full baths was huge. Kitchen and eating area was perfect. If I had to complain about something I would say the TV could have been a little bigger and the cable was a little wacky...but we weren't there to watch TV.
Looking forward to coming out to visit again soon and would love to stay in this property again.
