Comfortable and spacious duplex apartment in the city center, with design and contemporary furniture, stone floor in the living areas and oak wood, in the rooms. Bakery, several cafes, banks, restaurants, supermarket, playground and mini-golf - all 100 meters of the house.

Generally satisfactory but several overclaims

Returned from a 10 night stay at this spacious apartment recently.

In general satisfactory but some descriptions are not entirely accurate & there was a surprising lack of information provided.

Under description on Facilities we would note the following:

Air Conditioning is provided only on bedroom floor level. In one bedroom & on landing outside second. For these only a single remote was provided.

None on other level where kitchen/dinning room and sitting room are located. This was a major drawback.

The position should be made clearer. Normally it is stated where this is provided.

Washing Machine/Dishwasher We had no need for these but neither one was available to us.

Entertainment notes Satellite/Cable. Very limited English News channels

Nowadays it is normal that wi-fi be provided. We accept that details did not indicate this was available

Notes indicates that 20% deposit will secure. In practice we were required to pay 100% on booking.

In general we feel that claims that “Bakery, several cafes, banks, restaurants, supermarket, playground & mini-golf – all 100 meters of the house”

& also location type as “near sea” are very overstated.

Such cafes as we saw were either for older local men or for students from school opposite apartment.

In particular we would note that it is a reasonable walk to railway line with at least the same again to reach sea.

This is the first of many “private self catering” apartments we have taken in various locations where the hosts did not provide an information booklet.

In other rentals local maps with indication of where facilities are situated & other relevant information have been provided. This also normally covers available TV Channels and instructions on equipment etc.

Difficulties on arrival We had been advised by host that lady who “did cleaning” would meet us at apartment to hand over keys.

On arrival there was no response from bell & but for the kindness of young girls in building who let us through door we would have been on footpath.

It took a number of text messages & phone calls to host (at her German mobile number) before we gained admittance to apartment around 90 minutes after arrival.

We finally gained admittance at almost 22.15.

Host was very apologetic but such should not happen.

Small changes would greatly improve position.

"The appartement is very comfortable, large and ideally located in the center of Faro, next to the main shopping street. A large terrace enables one to enjoy a nice view of the city."

Nice little Algarve base camp!

This apartment was very spacious and a perfect base for day trips around the Algarve. With two stories and a very nice patio, we were able to spread out and make ourselves at home during our stay. Only a 10 minute walk from shopping and Old Town, and a supermarket only blocks away, there was plenty for us to do when we weren't at the beach!

Eulalia was very responsive in arranging the logistics of checking in, and the apartment was pretty well stocked--we were able to cook a few meals in the apartment and enjoy dinner out on the patio.

We took day trips every day, but I would definitely recommend this apartment for those looking to stay in Faro during a trip to the Algarve!

The main shopping street with shops, restaurants, cafes and banks to ca. 300 meters. The pier for the islands of Faro Lighthouse (Olhão) together off the fair, S. Largo Francisco, ca. The 300 meters surrounded Faro marina cafes, restaurants and a park with access to the historic old town with cathedral at ca. 400 meters.
