Just a message to tell you we had a wonderful time in Puglia and, of course, in your trullo. The house was really pretty, comfortable, relaxing. We are missing it a lot!!! María was very, very nice, she resolved immediately the only problem we had (one day the wifi didn't work) and she made us feel at home. And we loved Alberobello, Locorotondo, Martina Franca, the beach at Torre Pozzela. Every place we knew! Thank you so much for your indications and for everything.
My husband and I, along with another couple, had the privilege of staying in this absolutely lovely Trullo for three nights. We found the Trullo itself very spacious for two couples, as well as well appointed, very clean, and quite comfortable. The ceilings were amazing and the restoration very well done. So cool!! The outside patio area was absolutely gorgeous!! We loved sitting outside at the end of the day, in their very comfy chairs, sipping wine and enjoying the beauty of their property and surrounding area. The cherries were ripe in their trees and we were able to pick fresh cherries each day. Yum! The ride to this trullo, once you get off the main road, was a little tricky and narrow, but the ride itself is also very beautiful. Just have to be very careful. Location wise it was very close to the town of Alberobello and lovely rides to the seas and surrounding areas. Would have loved to have stayed for a whole week!! Totally relaxing.
We had a fabolous time at Trullo Zippo, definitely a five-star experience. It is conveniently located close to Alberobello, yet immersed in beautiful and tranquil countryside. Accomodation is comfortable and stylish and the whole structure has been lovingly renovated respecting the original style - sleeping under the cone with its vaulted stone ceiling was one of the highlights of our stay in Puglia! Our hosts could not have been more welcoming and helpful; from the hearty breakfasts served outside to insider tips and suggestions on places to see and things to do, they were a pleasure to deal with. Our only compaint was having to leave; we would have loved to stay much longer exploring wonderful Puglia, or just relaxing under the pergola gazing at the beautiful scenery. Arrivederci!
This was our second stay in this deligthfully furnished Trullo. It's location is the perfect postion to relax after a day spent exploring. The many wonderful places nearby are the charming town of Alberobella, the amazing caves at Castellana, the cave-town of Matera and the beautiful coves and beaches at Torre Guaceto. The accommodation is simple and spacious and wonderfully quirky. Highly recommended.
We had a wonderful time in this spacious, comfortable Trullo. The owners have restored it beautifully with all the home comforts you could need but retaining it's lovely character. . The seating area outside was great for all our meals with views across the field. Would definitely recommend and hope to return.
Set amidst orchards and vineyards, Trullo Zippo is a rare example of an 18th century winery transformed by its architect owners into a modern, spacious and comfortable house using traditional building methods. Trulli are UNESCO protected conical-roofed, stone dwellings unique to the Puglia region of southern Italy.
The interior is a blend of modern and traditional styles, kept minimal to enhance the building’s unique architecture. Sleeping up to six people, accommodation comprises: a master bedroom under one of the conical roves with an en suite bathroom; a twin bedroom with an adjacent second bathroom; a living room under another conical roof which doubles-up as a further twin bedroom; a roomy fully equipped kitchen and a small reading room with wood burning stove. Rooms open-up onto a large patio with a gazebo affording uninterrupted views of glorious countryside.
The house is a five minute drive from the town of Alberobello. Within its historic centre of 1400 trulli, is a wonderful selection of markets, cafes and restaurants. Its location makes it an ideal base from which to explore the Itria Valley in the Murge plateau of central Puglia, famous for its handsome baroque towns which dot a picturesque landscape of small holdings and ancient olive groves.
Puglia is flanked by two seas: the Ionian and the Adriatic, and has the highest number of blue flag beaches in Italy. Clear waters and sandy coves can be found in the nearby coastal towns of Monopoli and Polignano a Mare (21 Km). Further south along the coast, the natural reserve of Torre Guaceto is one of the last pristine marine environments in all the Mediterranean.
