About Debbie Jacobson

South Lake Tahoe since 1981. I enjoy the great outdoors. Skier, Snowboarder, Hiking, paddle boarding, lake kayaking, white river rafting.

Being outside with my dogs. All seasons adventure.

Debbie Jacobson purchased this chalet in 2006

Why Debbie Jacobson chose South Lake Tahoe

On the Upper Truckee River. Rare to find a property with acreage in South Lake Tahoe yet 15 minute drive to Ski resorts and Casinos. Hiking and walking from your doorstep. Spring waterfall trails. Mountain and road biking Mecca too. Very dog friendly property with fenced areas for your four legged friend to get out and enjoy. Perhaps they would like a swim in the RIVER.

What makes this chalet unique

Mountain views, Riverfront, large yard, fenced back yard, and fenced 4 acres with trails. Wolf double oven gourmet stove and everything you need to cook. Keurig and regular coffee maker. New bbq grill. Tv with cable in every bedroom and living room. Hot tub on back deck. New bedding and linens provided. Table seats 8.

Beautiful comfy house. Responsive owner.

There we 8 of us and the place housed us nicely. The house is as described. Plenty of parking. Nice front porch and rear patio to have breakfasts in the morning and enjoy hot tub in the evening. Good kitchen! Big dinning table. The only gripe with the house we had was the lack of locks on bathroom doors. :)

Although it is technically a river front property, you can't see the river from the house. It is a minute or two walk away. It is shallow, but there there are swimming holes. One is just to the left and another about 300ft to the right of where you walk out to the river from the house. The water is cold, but the plunge is so worth it.

Thank you!

Beautiful house on amazing property

  • 5 of 5

We had such a wonderful time at this house. We were 2 families with young children and 1 dog. It was truly amazing that the whole back was fenced in. This way, the dog and the kids all were safe but felt like they were exploring the wilderness! The house itself was so comfortable and had everything you would need. Highly recommended!

This was JUST what we needed. It was beautiful and clean. The kitchen had everything you could need! The bed was super comfortable too. May be hard at first but give it a chance, you melt right into it! The river is a short walk down a lovely trail, about a 3 to 5 min walk. Not far at all. The hot tub was great! That darn Jaguar Statue kept scaring the crap out of me, but other than that the place was great! Easy to get too as well. We will most certainly be back. I do apologize for the dishes in the dishwasher (not alot) I ran it at 10am and it was still going close to 11am. which was our checkout! Thank you!

Wonderful Family Vacation

  • 5 of 5

We just got back from a great family vacation. The house was perfect for 2 families (4adults + 4kids ) and one dog.The house was comfortable, well organized and cozy. The views and the surrounding area were amazing. Kids and the dog loved the back yard. Best part was the HOT TUBE!! Amazing view of the mountains.

10 minutes away form Sierra -at- Tahoe and about 5 minutes from shopping area. Thank you Debbie for being so helpful and accommodating.

Beautiful house

  • 5 of 5

We had a great stay! Flexible sleeping arrangements, well-organized kitchen, nice hot tub, and cozy wood stove in the living room. Debbie was very responsive when we had some trouble with the hot water at first and it was fixed. And importantly, there were adorable fish pillows. Hope to be back!

Comfortable family home on beautiful river

  • 4 of 5

We had a wonderful family vacation. The home was located right on the river. There is a lovely trail at the end of the street and a small fishing hole right down the street. The neighborhood is very quiet. Debbie was very helpful and friendly on the phone. The house had everything we needed and more. The beds were comfortable and the upstairs rooms had beautiful views. The house was clean and well organized so that you could find things easily. We had a few minor issues. The keys to the cabin did not work but we had a code to get in. The jacuzzi water was slightly green so we did not use it. Also, be careful walking down the ramp in the backyard. My husband fell while carrying my two year old. There is not a railing and it is a little slippery. Overall, we had a wonderful stay.

Owner's Response: Hi. We are glad you enjoyed your stay. We work very diligently to ensure every thing is in tip top shape for your stay. We ask that you contact us if you need assistance or anything is out of place. Tahoe is a wonderful place to discover. Suitable for every age group depending on your abilities. There are trails in the back of the property and fishing on the banks for those who can walk on dirt trails. The paved road going down the street is very pretty too and works out nicely for those with a baby carriage and elderly. The steeper hiking trails are at the end of the street and go up to alpine lakes and waterfalls which are great for fit groups. The hot tub is a wonderful extra. It is serviced prior to your arrival. The water is changed, and is sparkling clean for each guest. There is a beautiful large green pine tree above the tub. Please keep the cover in place so pine needles do not get in. It is not a good idea to use the doggie ramp to walk with small children over your head. There are stairs next to it people should use those. There are keys as well as the code locks available for the chalet. I sent a repairman out after your stay the keys work just fine. It is a little different than the old fashioned type of lock but pretty basic. The code is also convenient and ez to use as it can be given to the guest without mailing keys and changed for your security. We also have a one story house which is easier for toddlers and elderly folks.
