About Camille Schwabe

30 year Florida Resident originally from Kansas City Missouri. Moved from Tampa in 2013 with my Real Estate License and started selling homes with Michael Saunders and Company. Two wonderful Children and loads of friends. I love Sarasota and think everyone should live here. Life is a journey and I have found Paradise live in.

Camille Schwabe purchased this studio in 2013

Why Camille Schwabe chose Lido Key

I met a couple on the beach that stayed in this unit prior to my buying it. They described it as one of there happiest times. Lido Key is a friendly place to visit and live and there are no strangers. This suite located at the back of my house has a private entrance and yard, not big enough for more than two people and one four legged friend. In Real Estate you learn very quickly Location, Location, Location that is why I live here. Most everything is a matter of minutes away and Sarasota road system is very logical and easy to get around. Bicycles are available for your use as is a Outdoor Grill and beach chairs. You will have a parking spot off the road a Laundry Room that we share. Sunsets are spectacular and St. Armand Circle shopping and dinning is a dream.

What makes this studio unique

I love dogs and have a Poochon that is brilliant of course. The property is not secure so keep your four legged friend on a leash and pick up after them. The Blvd of the Presidents is a lovely place to walk dogs with poop bags provided and trash bins. Dogs are even welcome down on the Circle in most shops and outdoor dinning restaurants.

The past two annual renters to stay here have purchased property from me.

If you are interested in your own piece of paradise and you purchase property from me within 12 months I will credit you one week rental at closing.

Perfect for two and a dog! Fantastic location! Great price!

  • 5 of 5

Camille's place was perfect for my husband, myself and our boxer mix!

Just a block from beach access, a few blocks from kayaking and a short drive or walk to St. Armand's Circle. I loved the fact that there was a dog waking area right in the median across from the house! It's a very safe area and I was totally comfortable walking him at night by myself.

The accommodations are exactly as described. It's a quaint little place that's perfect for one or two. The bed was comfortable, there was plenty of storage, the kitchen had everything we needed and the bathroom was small but perfectly functional. The accordion door in the bathroom is what it is, there's no a/c at all in the kitchen (just fans) and the wall a/c in the bedroom is pretty loud, but none of that would stop me from staying here again... especially for the GREAT PRICE!

Overall, we had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend and would definitely stay here again!

The place was very good

  • 4 of 5

The rental was everything that we thought it would be. There were no additional fees which were great! The BBQ pit in the back is awesome along with the bikes and the paddle board. We did not enjoy the location as much as we'd hoped to, but this place is great! I would recommend it to anyone looki g to stay in this area for a reasonable price.

Great and Affordable Little Hideaway

  • 4 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay. The location was great - just a 5 minute walk to the beach and a 10 minute walk to St. Armand's Circle. The yard area had a nice table with an umbrella, a lounge chair, and other cushioned seating options. We had access to bikes, a grill, and a fire pit, and though we didn't use them, it was nice to know they were available. The owner was very nice and accommodating.

There are a few things that could be improved to make it an even better stay:

-The bathroom has a plastic accordion door, which doesn't provide any privacy. A solid door would be much better. The bathroom is also very small, so it could use a fan to help with ventilation.

-The microwave only opens up about 6 inches because it hits the fridge, so it's not possible to put a plate of food in there.

-The space got humid, so we had to keep the AC on at 67 degrees, even though the weather outside was very pleasant and in the mid 70s.

-The kitchen window could use blinds. I personally don't like uncovered windows, but that's not an issue for everyone.

-The two windows seen in the picture are the owner's part of the house. While we didn't have any issues, we thought the back area could be a bit more private, both for the owner and guests, by putting up a small little fence near the windows and redirecting the path to the entrance. We felt bad if we were outside at night with the spotlight on because it would be shining in her windows.

Overall, this is a great little place to stay. Knowing what to expect, I'd rent this location again, especially with the quick fixes suggested above.

Perfect Location

  • 4 of 5

We loved our stay in Lido Key. We named this our little Mother in Law cottage and was perfect for My husband and I. It was within walking distance to everything we wanted to do including the beach and the wonderful restaurants in St Armands Circle. Camille was a perfect host affording us the privacy we enjoy.

Wonderful place and bargain

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I (both 72) stayed here from 2-1-17 to 3-5-17 (32 nights). We loved it and Camille. It's not as small as it looks in the pictures, just the right size for 2 people for a month's stay. It has everything we needed. The bathroom is small put has a large medicine cabinet and 4 shelves over the stool and a large shower. We had no problems with all our meds and supps and other bath necessities. The kitchen has a lot of counter space and cabinets, a large double sink and pantry with shelves. There was a table and 2 chairs in the kitchen, but we ate on the patio, which we loved, most of the time. There was a gas grill on the patio. We shared the laundry room with Camille, which was much nicer than the paid laundry rooms at most places. It was in a perfect location, 1 block from the beach and public pool and a quarter mile on a nice flat sidewalk from St. Armands Circle. All the beach necessities are supplied. It was a great bargain as well. We highly recommend it.
