About Brian Ament

I'm a contractor by trade, and loved fixing up my home. Come enjoy my improvements and changes that I have done to the old Pequea Tavern. I was attracted to the property because I love being on the water.

What makes this house unique

Newly renovated throughout, keeping the old charm with modern touches. Large fire pit with river views, huge covered deck with wet bar, spacious home in every aspect, river views from almost every room in the house and breath taking sunsets over the river. Wonderful to be able to walk out the dock and jump onto the boat at private dock.

This place was a pleasant surprise. There were only 3 adult couples in our party but a generous amt of space. This renovated tavern

has had as many as 16 overnite guests & counting all seating can seat 60 (living rm/deck/bar/dining rm/lawn). Venue was clean & comfortable

with all amenities. The porch/deck was our favorite to overlook the river. Don't forget to ask the "inn keeper" about the history of this place.

Nearby CONNESTOGA MUSEUM & town of STRAUSBURG were neat places to visit. Don't forget to try some SHOO-FLY-PIE..........

Beautiful Home!

  • 5 of 5

This was a wonderful home with beautiful views for our family of 13 to gather to celebrate my parent's 50th anniversary. We were able to spend time on the water fishing, swimming and kayaking. We saw many amazing birds around the lake including bald eagles! The kitchen was amply supplied as we cooked all our meals there (the second fridge was perfect!). Lots of options for where to hang out - outside deck (where we could watch the Olympics on the TV screen outside), around the fire pit in the front yard, in the living room where there's lots of seating, at the large window which has a counter top for eating/working on a computer). Highly recommend this comfortable home to all. Only thing to note is that there are many steps (which are new and sturdy) down to the water which was a challenge for my mom and her bad knee. We also went tubing at Sickman's Mill and I would highly recommend that excursion if you're so inclined.

Great, Peaceful Spot!

  • 5 of 5

We went to Brian's home to celebrate our 20th family reunion. It was nicely located away from it all, but only a few minutes drive to any attractions you may desire. It had beautiful scenic views of the river and we even enjoyed the trains that would rumble by occasionally.

Brian keeps this home impeccable and it easily accommodated our large family. I highly recommend this home for small groups or large!

Amazing lakefront getaway

  • 5 of 5

We booked this home for our family reunion. It completely met and exceeded our expectations! Not only was it a beautiful location, but it was impeccably clean and well maintained. Brian, the owner, was very helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. It comfortably fit our group of 12 with plenty of room to spare! Thank you for a wonderful weekend!
