About the property

In winter, is there anything better than being so close to the slopes? You walk 5 minutes and say hello to the big white and in the afternoon, after a great day of skiing, you just stop in front of your own terrace. No hassle, just big fun. It is only a couple of minutes skiing down the hill to get to the main hub for ski lifts and ski schools. Les Crosets is on the Swiss side of the Portes du Soleil, which is, with its 650km of ski network, the biggest skiing domain in Europe. Or, you might prefer to go snow-shoeing in the absolute silence of the surrounding woods and enjoy a sauna back home and a good film in the tv-room..

In summer, you can go exploring the extensive hiking trails or saddle you bike and head out for the 580km of marked trails (regular host of the Swiss Mountain Bike Championships).

Chalet Carioca is beautifully located, nestled up next to the slopes of Les Crosets, a hamlet of chalets on 1850m altitude, offering a breathtaking view of the Dents du Midi and the majestic mountain scenery of the Swiss Alps. Absolute calm and peace guaranteed!

The tiny village of Les Crosets has a little supermarket, a spa, some sports shops and bars, nice restaurants and a chapel. It is a 5-minute drive away from the chalet. In Champéry (20-minute drive) you will find fancy shopping, great restaurants and nightlife.

The interior decoration of Chalet Carioca is luxurious and warm, with a lot of rustic family owned antiques, silver cutlery, fine china - a sophisticated, perfectly well-equipped family home.
