We are an Italian family consisting of a father, a german mother and two teenage sons. We live in a large mansion house, with several apartments (all independent) used to receive guests. We started this business for a relatively short time and carry out with enthusiasm. Our guests repay us for all the efforts, being, so far, always very happy with the choice made.
Owner purchased this Apartment in 1992
Why Owner chose Rome
The villa is situated in a unique location, being close to the Old Town, where only very few ancient palaces, nowdays used for public functions, can benefit from a garden or a park that surrounds them. The villa also adjoins the largest public park in Rome, Villa Doria Pamphilj.
What makes this Apartment unique
The garden of the villa allows you to walk on paths, at the sides of which sprout roses, bougainvillea bushes, camellias and azaleas. Tall trees (pines, firs, cedars and eucalyptus), provide cool shade. But, there are also olive trees, pomegranates, persimmons, and oranges. All this in the center of Rome. Incredible! The inner courtyards, finally, also allow you to park cars, comfortably and safely.

Not as it seems
This property is listed as a resort. Do not be fooled! This is a basement apartment at the bottom of a steep driveway. There is really nothing 'resort-like' about this property. The interior is quite worn out and is in need of painting and refreshing, beds are old and saggy. Our driver was hesitant to drop us at this property due to the nature of the neighborhood. There is graffiti everywhere and the driver told us it is an unsafe neighborhood, that we should not go out alone at night, and to be very careful. The owner communicated well prior to our arrival but unfortunately was not available to check us in so her friend let us in and provided the keys. The property is quite dark and worn. It is close to the tram line for access into Trastevere and the center. We were not happy with the accommodation and requested to not take the room. The owner did not contact us after we handed back the keys and requested a partial refund. When we called for a car to pick us up, several drivers accepted the call then cancelled picking us up at this address.
Peaceful and convenient
Kirsten was wonderful. She was flexible when our flight was delayed and welcomed us although it meant she had to stay up late. She was very helpful with local information and we felt very welcome.
The location was so convenient to the tram that takes you directly to the Piazza Venezia. It was very easy to get there and back.
We loved our stay here and would come again.
Great stay. Convenient to the metro which we used daily. There is a fantastic restaurant 5 minutes away ( I wish I could remember the name) that is in the bottom of an apartment complex. During our stay it was relatively cool so the temperature in the place was good. I didn’t notice an air conditioner so that might be an issue on hot days. Quiet and comfortable place overall
Wonderful place to stay when visiting Rome!
This was a wonderful apartment. Kerstin and her family couldn't be more welcoming. The apartment was immaculate and fully equipped with all the comforts of home. The location was great. The tram stopped right up the road and we were able to use it for all of sightseeing. Very convenient to all the sites!!!
Thank you so much to Carolyn, her husband and their friends. We are very happy You have enjoyed your stay in Rome and our hospitality. We hope so much you will come back to visit us. By the way, did you throw a coin in the Trevi Fountain?
