Enjoy the tranquil & serene atmosphere of this rural setting. Relax in the 2 bdr/1 bth living/dining 750 sq. ft. open loft (sleeps 1-5) w/all the comforts of home minus the hectic life. The open loft is part of a home/yoga studio which is occupied by the owner, tenants and 2 adorable dogs.

Guest’s pets are NOT permitted. Also, it is not recommended for people with small children due to the hazards of an open loft.

Begin and end your day in the 750 sq. ft. open loft of this authentic adobe home which is nestled in the rural Village of Corrales, NM. The breathtaking views of the valley & mountains are spectacular. Minutes from Albuquerque. This vacation rental provides a tranquil atmosphere and sleeps 5 people. Each bedroom has been individually decorated with your comfort in mind. The spacious master bedroom has a queen size bed and a twin Daybed-sleeps 1-3 people. The 2nd bedroom has a full size bed with the best views of the valley, mountains and the moon.-sleeps 1-2people. Enjoy the peace and serenity of the 1 acre with open space, sagebrush, cactus, pine trees, meditation labyrinth, outside sitting, and swing set/playground.

The loft over looks the Yoga Studio and is open to the down stairs area of other bedrooms, bathroom, the kitchen, dining room and Music Studio. Because it is an open loft please keep in mind that sound travels: upstairs to downstairs and downstairs to upstairs. We ask that all inside noise be kept at a minimum between 10pm and 8am out of respect for other guests and tenants. Be mindful that this is someone's home. At times, you will also be met with the aromas of the various meals as they are prepared for the residents or guests of the home.

*Keurig coffee maker & a variety of coffee

*kitchen utensils, dishes, flatware and some dishes for cooking

*outside propane BBQ grill.

*Each bedroom has it's own air conditioning and heating unit.

There is a labyrinth on the property for walking meditation as well as a swing set/playground to bring out the child in all of us. You will see many kinds of wild life such as rabbits, ground squirrels, quail, hawks, coyotes, lizards and possibly snakes along with domesticated animals-horses, donkeys, chickens, dogs etc. This is the ultimate vacation/relaxation space.

Yoga classes are taught on Monday and Wednesday nights 6:30-7:30pm. For all the yogis or aspiring yogis - you are welcome to attend (to be taken at your own risk) for $10 per class per person. The Yoga classes are based on Hatha Yoga and is meditation based - it is a non-competitive atmosphere. If you don't wish to participate in the Yoga classes and find yourself in the loft during the class, we ask that you are quiet during that time as noise from the loft does carry.

There is a separate outside entrance to the loft. The main entrance to the house as well as the kitchen and dining room area downstairs is used by the owners and other tenants. If you are interested in using the kitchen & dining room please let the owner know what days and times you would like to use them.

The downstairs Yoga room, Music room, bathroom, laundry room and bedrooms are off limits.

The neighborhood is a very quiet and peaceful area in a rural setting. There is no outside noise between 10pm and 8pm and because this is a shared space please keep the inside noise to a low level between 10pm & 8am, as well. This is not a party space - excessive noise/alcohol or the use of illegal drugs will NOT be tolerated and will be reported to the local authorities. There are several home owned businesses on the road: Acequia Vineyard and Winery, Wild Horse Harry Livery and Blacksmith and a couple of horse stables. Please be respectful of the neighbors and their privacy. Each guest must agree to these expectations and have them in mind when they reserve this space.

The reason for purchasing this property was to have a Home & Yoga Studio all in one. I wanted to create a Zen type of retreat center. Once I retired from public education the dream expanded to offering the open loft of my Home/Yoga Studio for others to vacation and rest.

There are floor to ceiling windows which offer breathtaking views of the native landscape as well as the Sandia Mountains and the Valley. The views at night are just as breathtaking. There is a calm and relaxed atmosphere that offers a welcoming feeling.

Great little place away from the hustle of town, but close enough to enjoy the city everyday.

Awesome little 2BR loft with a great view of Albuquerque. The outdoor seating was a great place to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee and watch the balloons come in from South of town. Great view of the mountains.

I don't usually review, but I wish I'd been warned.

Just dirty; smelled overwhelmingly of stale perfume; mold in the bathroom; jingle of dogs' tags woke us up--again and again--sometimes two dozen times a night; miserably uncomfortable bed; only one window (in the bathroom) opened to fresh air in the whole place; coffee maker was 5 feet from the toilet in the bathroom, very unsanitary; water pressure and temperature very inconsistent in the shower; fridge not cold enough to keep food from spoiling; despite a significant cleaning fee, we had to clean the place ourselves before checkout. The owner seemed nice enough, but the space was awful to be in. We dreaded going back each night. So now you've been warned.

Owner's Response: Wow, I had no idea that these guests were that upset and dissatisfied. They never said anything that eluded to their dissatisfaction even though I saw and spoke with them on several occasions. I’ve had many people stay in this space over the course of 4 years and none have had these complaints. I go to many lengths to make sure my guests feel comfortable in a clean environment. I do ask my guests to gather up all used towels and sheets so my cleaning person will know what’s been used for laundry purposes and to discard their trash. Whether a guests chooses to do this is up to them. I’m not certain where they saw mold in the bathroom because I’m not aware of any. As far as my dogs are concerned, I keep my dogs in my bedroom with the door closed during the night and let them out maybe once in the night to go to the bathroom. When they made a request for me to take their tags off for the night because they intended to sleep in, I accommodated them. I am completely bewildered by this review. Perhaps the reason for such a scathing review is because I had spoken with them about leaving their dog in the kennel while they were gone all day. He cried and barked all day making it difficult for me to work with clients through the noise. I thought we had addressed the issue civilly and came up with a mutual understanding. I would certainly not recommend this family to other hosts for fear they may receive just as bad a review.
