Country quaint two bedroom home conveniently located two blocks from downtown Lodi. Enjoy walking to several wine tasting rooms, fine dining, antique stores, pubs, bakery, cafe's, and finish the day taking in a movie.

I love that my home is so close to the downtown amenities. Love taking a stroll for a morning coffee, or enjoying one of the many events without fighting traffic or searching for a parking space. It's faster to walk to the theatre than to drive, park and then walk. I often walk to one of my favorite restaurants, or an evening out enjoying live music and a fine wine. Other favorites are browsing through the second hand/antique stores looking for a new treasure. A flower and herb garden just outside the kitchen have been planted for your pleasure. Grab your morning cup of coffee, or evening beverage and enjoy the park bench located under the shade of the Birch trees. (Due to the severe drought plaguing California the lawns have been sacrificed to meet water restrictions and to maintain the health of the trees. So far only one tree has died and two are showing signs of extreme stress but the remainder are holding strong.)

October 2017 stay

This is the third year we've stayed at Sylvia's house. It's an excellent location for wine tasting in Lodi and Amador. You're close to downtown, the library and everything that's happening. My husband even got a haircut at the barber shop down the street from the house! This year we even headed out to Murphy's for the day. The house is small but there's only the two of us and it suited us just fine. It's well kept and clean. Whenever we head to Lodi, we'll definitely check out Sylvia's place for our stay.

Rewarding trip

The house was very clean and organized. It had all the amenities one would need for a week stay. The location of the property was very good as one can easily walk to downtown Lodi. The owner Sylvia was very responsive to our questions.

Clean and convenient

Positives: The house is a simple, uncluttered and clean with hardwood floors, washer, dryer, bathtub and a very comfortable bed- great pillows too. Also it's a great location to downtown with dependable wifi, local magazines, a schedule of local events and helpful phone #s posted on the fridge.

Negative: An unattended messy yard in both front and back with low hanging tree branches in the driveway making it difficult to park there without scratching the top of my vehicle. No lamps in either bedroom or living room and no coffee table in living room. No mirror in the bedroom- would have been convenient for makeup application. There was an outdoor cat that seemed distressed- was quite vocal when encountered, but turned out to be just "needy" and wanted attention.

Owner's Response: I want to thank you for your review. Clean, convenient, comfortable bed and pilllows are great keys to future bookings. I wished you had let me know the limbs on the birches were too low for your car I would have trimmed them for you. Being short and driving a Mini Cooper I had not noticed. Thanks to your feedback I have purchased reading lamps to compliment the overhead lighting and trimmed the trees next to the driveway. The front bedroom does have a mirror attached to the dresser along with a full length mirror in the closet in addition to the mirror in the bathroom. I will look to add a mirror in the other bedroom in the near future.
