Overview

About the property

Our apartement is the perfect blend of space, comfort, for 2 people

We are in the hearth of Rome "Testaccio district", this is a strategic area with many cultural sites such as Circus Maximus and Coliseum easy to get to by walk.

We are 100 mt. from Tiber River thath divides us from Trastevere.

Underground 'Station Piramide' is just moments from the apartment

With a beautiful walk along the characteristic Tiberriver bank (Lungotevere) we can reach in a few minutes the site of "Bocca della Verità" (famous movie spotwhere we suggest to take some photos). Here you can exploit different tours: one option is to walkalong the "Roman Stadium - Circus Maximus" lenght movingon towards the entrance of the Coliseum and the Imperial Forum; a second one is to proceed along the Tiber river bank, a route which will easily lead to "Campo de' Fiori", passing just besidesthe characteristic Jewish District.

#To get to a majestic viewpoint of the city climb up to Colle Aventino (one of the seven roman hills) which will entice you with a romantic sight of Rome from the “Giardino degli Aranci' where you will have the possibility also to visit some of the oldest Churches of the city.

#The best part is how accessible it is. You step out the door and you are at a tram/bus stop. So it’s easy to get everywhere. The bus/tram/metro system in Rome is great.. You can also get to the Metro and a regional train with either 2 stops on the bus or about a 10 minute walk!

Underground Station Piramide is in the nearby (200 mt). In SUMMER from this stop is easy to reach in 25 minutes the #sea of Rome'#(Ostia) with its beaches and seaside restaurants where you can enjoy your relax!

# OUR apartament is a refined work of the "Architectural Cristell & De Andreis", is in a nineteenth century building, overlooking a characteristic and quiet courtyard, it is on the 3rd and last floor (with a new, modern elevator). There are original ceilings and floor, bright along day and evening, completely renovated with deep-colors and soft lights giving you an intimate atmosphere; it is overall 45 square meters wide.

It is structured by a comfortable living room with a well-equipped kitchenette (a toaster, an electric kettle, coffee maker, microwave, etc) TV LCD and dishwasher; a large Double Room with a wide double bed and a sofa bed, TV LCD 32'; a Bathroom with Box shower. It shows elegant finishing touches, 2 TV LCD, Air Conditioning, Autonomous Heating, FREE WI-FI 24H.

#TESTACCIO DISTRICT:

Testaccio is a much more local experience. A little away from the tourist area...the food is fabulous, the costs for things a good bit less and you get a little more of a feel of everyday life while easily being able to get everywhere else. There is every kind of shop you could possibly need within the neighboring blocks—butcher, wine, pasta, bakery, small supermarket, etc. and just a few blocks is Testaccio Market filled with all the charm and treats of Italy—-everything from shoes to vegetables, baked goods, etc. , and with internal small bars offering good 'expresso' as you relax enjoying the sun.

#Why us? The owners put up to your disposal: maps of the city, some suggestions where to go within the neighborhood associating sights with nice and pleasant atmosphere; bathroom kits, sleepers and breakfast supplies: tea, coffee, jams and fruits.

#THE BUSES lead us directly to: St. Peter's , Vatican Museum (Bus N. 23); Piazza Venezia, Piazza Navona Pantheon (Bus N. 30); Villa Borghese (BUS N. 3);

Absolutely perfect.

We spent 2 weeks at this apartment over the 2017-18 Christmas/New Year’s holidays. We could not have chosen a better place. We have stayed at several homeaway properties in several countries....this one is a wonderful addition to where we have had the pleasure to stay!

The apartment is perfectly maintained. It is modern-updated, but still has an historic charm with some original details like some beautiful tile flooring. The place could not have been cleaner—we could have eaten off the floor! We cooked in a few times and had everything needed to do a few simple meals, etc. we also quite enjoyed the ‘Italian Keurig’ that made awesome Italian coffee. The apartment is very quiet, looking out over a quiet courtyard. It’s on the upper floor but there is a new, modern elevator. Perfect!

The best part is how accessible it is. You step out the door and you are at a tram/bus stop. So it’s easy to get everywhere. The bus/tram/metro system in Rome is great. We had a multi-day ticket and used the Moovit app to help us navigate easily. You can also get to the Metro and a regional train with either 2 stops on the bus or about a 10 minute walk.

Bar none are uour your hosts. Carlo and Alyssandra are so kind and helpful. They arranged our airport transportation with the equally kindly Mauro, which we absolutely recommend. They also helped us make a dinner reservation on Christmas Eve. Each of the restaurants they recommended were by far our most favorite dining experiences.

We would absolutely stay here again.

A place to come back

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful and comfortable apartment in a great location. The apartment is in walking distance to all great sites in Rome. It is very nicely decorated and has all amenities to have a great stay in Rome.

Alessandra and Carlo are amazing and generous hosts who love their neighborhood and city and it shows. After walking us around the area pointing at stores and restaurants, they showed us the apartment and indicated on the maps walks and visits around Rome leaving us with a welcome present of an excellent bottle of wine and local pastries.

A special thank you to Carlo who managed to retrieve my cell phone and forward it to me so fast.

We will be back!

fantastic

  • 5 of 5

Fantastic in every way..... hip and modern apartment, immaculately clean, location within walking distance of majority of sites, great neighborhood with many choices to eat or buy groceries, owners that go out of their way to assist and provide help if needed. There is even all types of transportation available to you, just steps outside the gated apartment building.

We loved it and I know you will too! A beautifully presented 3rd floor apartment with a lift. Our hosts Carlo and Alessandra were amazing. They've answered all our questions we've had, walked with us and showed around. Lovely driver Mauro brought us from the airport and back. Lovely neighborhood, friendly people and public transportation right under your nose!!! Very convenient!!! Subway - short walking distance, many food stores and restaurants. You must visit Trastevere neighborhood - it's a paradise!!! Delicious restaurants, great and relaxing atmosphere! Highly recommended!!! We will definitely stay here next time!!

Caro Carlo, Alessandra e Mauro, grazie di tutto!! Ci manchi già! Spero di vederti in futuro!! Ciao!!!

Fantastic Accomodations

  • 5 of 5

This apartment is everything you could ever hope for while staying in Rome. Our hosts were gracious, helpful and so generous. The apartment was on a quaint street just a few blocks from the metro and an easy walk from ancient Rome. The interior of the apartment is warm and inviting with lots of space and a great bathroom and kitchen. We loved it and I know you will too! We have already recommended it to our friends and should we ever find our way back to Rome we will be staying here again. If you love Gelato, there is a fabulous shop two blocks away and the owner makes all the gelato on the property.

Perfect little oasis in busy Rome.

  • 5 of 5

A beautifully presented 3rd floor apartment with a lift. We had a lovely warm welcome from Carlo and Alessandro, who made sure we were provided with info about all the local amenities and transport links. The apartment was spotless and provided all the facilities we could want. It is in a great location as Tostaccio gives you a taste of an Italian community and is also within a 20 min walk of the main tourist sites. We had a fantastic holiday and would definitely stay here again.
