About The Owner

I am Italian and have been living here for 6 years. Seville is a warm and welcoming city because of its people, its all-year pleasant climate and its size. All these factors mean that many services and amenities are available while still maintaining a rhythm of life on a human scale. I work in the restoration of wooden furniture and I am a person who is committed to animal welfare. For this reason I am a volunteer in an animal sanctuary. Therefore all guests who want to travel with their pets are most welcome.

Why The Owner chose Santa Cruz

La Casa de la Ermita, which is so called because of thenpresence of a small model church on one of the roof terraces, keeps alive in its architecture the authentic spirit of an Andalucía dwelling. This sensation is strongly transmitted as soon as you enter the courtyard with its hand carved wooden ceilings, its 18th century wooden doors and its walls of handmade brickwork.

From the roof terraces you can enjoy an unforgettable view over the rooftops of the Jewish quarter of the tower of Saint Bartholomew’s church which was once a mosque and subsequently a synagogue. When I saw the house for the first time, although it was sadly dilapidated, I was fascinated by the architectural details that were waiting to be given a new lease of life. As a foreigner I felt this to be a place that represents the true spirit of of Seville perfectly and strongly, and that this spirit can be transmitted to every guest that stays here.

What makes this house unique

La Casa de la Ermita is situated in a rally quiet pedestrian street, a few minutes walk from all , the main monuments, leisure facilities, Los Jardines de Murillo and Maria Luisa Park. At the same time it is situated at a strategic point because it is very near the inner city ring round (Ronda) where all kinds of services are available along with the Metro, buses and taxis. A car park (not free) is 5 minutes away on foot. On the two roof terraces, which are adorned with lots of plants, you can hear birds singing and enjoy the lovely climate of Seville. The roof terraces also have a barbecue, facilities for listening to music, and a covered area where you can sit and talk even in winter. Both roof terraces are ideal for a romantic dinner or a hearty breakfast to set you up for a busy and enjoyable day.

Rosetta’s House in Seville

Quintissentially Spanish with oodles of charm! The house is full of personal bits and pieces which make you feel like a guest in someone’s own house. Lots of thought has been put into making ones stay a pleasant one and of course, Seville is a fabulous city with very friendly people.

A Gem in the Heart of Seville

I've stayed in many houses over the years with VRBO and this was one of my favorites. The location is ideal, in the heart of the historic center of Seville, just steps away from shops, restaurants, museums... The apartment, itself, unfolds in layers, just as the surrounding cobbled streets seem to wind and unfold. On the top level of the apartment is a lovely terrace where we spent many mornings with a cup of coffee and evenings with a glass of wine. If you're traveling in the winter or when the weather is chilly, the apartment is cozy and warm.

As much as I enjoyed the apartment and beautiful city, I equally appreciated Rosetta for her responsiveness, knowledge of Seville and generosity. While saying goodbye at the end of our trip, I felt as if I was saying goodbye to a friend. This is an apartment I will definitely return to on my next trip to Spain.

Artistic and well-situated

Beautiful property. Excellent location.

Rosetta is an owner who has filled in all the blanks. The apartment is not only beautiful, clean and comfortable, but well stocked.

Need information on things to do? She's got it.

Need a dictionary to help you manage? She has them in several languages.

Need olive oil or any of the basic cooking supplies? She has you covered.

Need a sewing kit? Q-tips? Feminine products? Rosetta has them available for you.

Not only all these sundries, but she has a freshly baked loaf of bread AND delicious homemade marmalade!

If you have a difficulty of any sort, she'll be there in a flash.

No complaints.

Historic home filled with charm and beautiful outdoor space

My family of five (3 kids ages 16, 9, and 4) loved this house. Beautiful historic home with amazing detail in the doors and windows. Kids loved the bunk beds! Best part was the location and the multiple outdoor patio spaces. Everything was provided (i.e. soaps), and Rosetta had freshly baked bread, homemade jelly and juice and milk for us upon our arrival. It was easy to walk to the main attractions (cathedral, parks, shopping) even with kids through the charming winding small streets of Sevilla. We loved it!

Simply THE Best!

Rosetta is kind, helpful and answered all questions. The home is amazing! Location is on the edge of the city center with ALL major sites within walking distance. Traditional and historic neighborhood. The home is over the top amazing! Historical with lots of charm! Well equipped with everything you need! Roof top terrance and patio areas offer amazing views and relaxation spaces. Thinking of only three nights in Seville? We were too. But this home is SO amazing we wish we stayed for a week! Why eat out every night?! Cook here, enjoy a bottle of wine (or two) and eat on the patio for as amazing of a Seville experience as any restaurant could provide. I highly encourage you to add an extra night or two to your Seville stay just to enjoy spending time at the home. Note: Lots of stairs between the levels, not an issue for us, but this may be a factor for guests with limited mobility.

Charming

This lovely apartment is located on a pedestrian lane in the medieval district of Seville. It has historic charm and beauty that gives visitors an authentic feeling of a particular place in time. The patios are pleasant places to eat breakfast and take in the views, even in the winter time. The location is perfect - in walking distance to all the major sites, shops, and restaurants. Finally, it was a pleasure to work with Rosetta. She communicated clearly throughout the process and gave us many excellent recommendations for restaurants and activities. I recommend Cava Bar for tapas and La Case de La Memoria for flamenco dance.
