**Please note, our house is one block from a train track and trains come through several times during the day. So far, this has not been an issue for our guests, but we want to be sure you were aware.**
We spent 4 nights in the East Nashville home in March of 2016. The home was clean and well-situated for our needs. Our dog was welcome and there is a fenced yard where she could hang out. There is a good microbrewery and several restaurants within walking distance. We brought our bicycles and this was also a great place to start and end rides. We didn't need to move the car once we arrived. As other reviewers indicated, there is a train track within 200 feet that is well-traveled, perhaps 6 times per day. The horn and train are loud, but that was not a problem for us.
Very nice little home with a fenced in back yard. Close to a lot cool areas in the trendy east Nashville area. Home was clean with plenty of water pressure. Just know there is train traffic close and runs throughout the night (we got used to it). We used Uber to hit the Broadway areas (7-10 $) ten minutes. The only thing is the home could have used a toaster. Would recommend this property!
It's a nice little house and worked out well for my husband and I and our two little dogs. The fenced yard was very nice for the dogs. It's in a nice quiet neighborhood and not far from downtown activities. Very enjoyable and we would rent again.
Four adults, one child and small dogs stayed in this cottage. It was truly perfect with respect to space (2 bedrooms, bathroom, living room, kitchen), affordability, 10 min drive to downtown, and icing on the cake was the big, completely fenced backyard. The next door neighbor was also very friendly and a comfort especially when you don't know who lives next door. We arrived at night and felt safe in the neighborhood. We found local restaurants (vegetarian and a Mexican) within a 3 minute drive from the house as well as a coffee shop. Small criticisms of the cottage was that the bathroom was a little small (but has a great storage closet) and the shower curtain had mold (not uncommon in a humid environment). I hope the owner will consider washing the curtain after every visit to stop mold from growing. Overall, the house was very clean. The train operated a few times a night but it was pretty neat to hear it coming. The conductor was always very respectful and only blared the train's horn prior to approaching the street and stopped quickly as to not awaken residents too much. If the train bothers you, the owner has kindly placed disposable ear plugs in the kitchen cabinet. I highly recommend staying in this cottage :)
My girlfriend and I spent a long weekend in Nashville and found the 28 Waters Ave. property, perfect for our stay. Located in a quiet neighborhood overall (some freight train traffic that was no big deal/quiet most of the night that we were "home"). Home has all the needed basics (toiletries, linen, coffee maker, fridge, washer/dryer, etc.) that you need: clean, nicely decorated, super comfy beds. Easy booking method and communication with property manager, when needed. Easy check-in and check-out thru the HomeAway app. Just a 5-6 minute ride to downtown Nashville and easy travel to other local sites (Opryland, etc.). Honestly, we left the car and used Uber for the weekend as it was convenient, low cost transportation from the rental to downtown/Broadway fun.
The visit was for a family wedding and the location couldn't have been better. Everything was within a mile of us! The house was just as described and was perfect for what we needed. The back yard was a nice surprise as it was very large and private. My young children loved that part. The train is very, very close and runs often. I would be lying if I said it didn't wake us up. But, to be fair, my children also loved the train and were entertained by getting to see it up close. Overall, a comfortable stay and great value. The location is very good.
