The Best Neighborhood in Little Rock
Located in Hillcrest -- a neighborhood which the Arkansas Times called 'the best neighborhood in Little Rock' Hillcrest is always full of life — especially when the local merchants host “Shop ‘N’ Sip” on the first Thursday of every month. Businesses stay open late and invite customers to enjoy a glass of wine and refreshments while they shop. After shopping, plan on dinner at a local eatery, like Café Bossa Nova or Acadia. Hillcrest is also home to beautiful Allsopp Park, which boasts trails, tennis courts, a playground and more than 10,000 annual visitors every year. Here's how far you have to go to get to any and everything in this quaint neighborhood — To the grocery store: About three blocks. To the waterworks park: About five blocks. To Allsopp Park: About four blocks. To the new bike store: Five blocks. To the cute independent dress shop: two blocks. To the bus stop: Two blocks. To the Greek diner: Seven blocks. To get a great margarita: three blocks. To the upscale country chic furniture store: Seven blocks. To the pool hall: Four blocks. To the hairdresser: three blocks.
This is a duplex so both sides can be rented.
I really enjoyed the thoroughness of the owner when explaining where to go, and what to do once arrived to the duplex. I received an email a few days before our arrival with all the information and instructions I needed to arrive to the property. This apartment is in a nice neighborhood and is close to EVERYTHING in Little Rock. The apartment is equipped with all basic needs overall. We really enjoyed this property and would definitely consider renting it again when we return to Little Rock. Two Thumbs UP!
We enjoyed our stay, the property was easy to find, in a good location and as described in the listing. The owner Chris was very responsive to our inquiries and answered all of our questions. The property was clean and in good shape (only thing we noticed were some stains on the pillows and mattress). There are a number of small, local restaurants in the area, we went to Leo's Greek Castle and Bossa Nova on Kavanaugh and liked them both. Grocery stores can be found close by. We would definitely recommend this property.
Getting to and getting from the property were quite direct. The neighborhood was quite residential and quiet. We received many compliments from our cousin in Little Rock about the location selection. The private drive was nice for loading and unloading. The property was great for allowing our two young girls to fall asleep in different rooms while we spent the evenings in the livingroom, a luxury not available at a hotel. Each room had a TV and wifi service for our needs. The house was very clean and updated. Fine details made the house feel quite cozy, like matching nightstands, art on the wall, essentials in the kitchen, and even hand soap by the sinks. All beds were quite soft. We spent the Saturday morning with the local offerings on Kavanaugh Blvd, visiting the Mylo Coffee Co, farmers market near Pulaski Heights Baptist Church, a short hike in Allsopp Park, and lunch at Damgoode Pies. If back in Little Rock, we'll find this property again.
We love this duplex. It was again another great stay!
Great area, nice house easy entrance and very convenient area. I will be back.
