poor quality

very unprofessional . did not answer any phone call. direction was wrong despite remote location. I think owner needs to know proper direction. house is old and poorly maintained. has spider webs on light fixtures. plenty of options in portree central city . choose those. I recommend not booking this place.

Owner's Response: In my numerous emails I asked you to print off the document re directions and access and adviser you three was no 4G on Skye. As you ignored all these emails then it is not my fault that you could not find the house. My house is 8 miles from portree as described in the listing. If you had wanted to be in the town you should have bookec Portree I answered your numerous phone calls and texted the details sgIn when asked. It is a self catering unit which means the owner is not there. My house is a Croft house and is well maintained. My cleaner was disgusted at the state you left the house in - food spilt everywhere and dirty nappies left lying around.

Lovely view, nice house and excellent communication.

  • 4 of 5

Jacquie went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed before arriving. Directions to the property were excellent and easy to follow. The house was well appointed and had most things that we needed to order to cook for the group etc. We had some very minor comments about the property but Jacquie was quick to respond to any concerns we might have had.

Great, relaxing place to stay!!

  • 5 of 5

This home was perfect for our needs! My husband and I were traveling with two of our friends and it was so nice to come back to Jacqui's house after a long day of exploring Skye. It's close to Portree, so eating dinner in town was easy, or bringing back groceries to cook dinner in the full size kitchen was great! Having two bathrooms was also really convenient for two couples! We really enjoyed hanging out around the wood burning stove and watching movies in the living room after a fun, adventurous day out! We had so much fun actually, we stayed an extra night here!

Thanks for such a lovely place to call home for a few nights!

Amazing View and great base to to visit Isle Of Skye from

  • 4 of 5

This property was very spacious with a stunning view. It was in the middle of a very rural area which was easy to get to with the instructions provided by the owner. There were two rooms with double beds and a children's room with twin bunk beds. The beds weren't the most comfortable however definitely served their purpose for a place to lay our heads after a long day of hiking. There was a great movie selection and a very spacious kitchen for nights spent in since the closest town was a short drive away. I would definitely stay here again when visiting Skye.

lovely view

  • 3 of 5

We were 4 ladies travelling and wanted to spend a couple of days in Skye. The cottage suited our needs but could not get in touch with the owner by phone when we were first arriving so had to ask a house nearby to help us find it, once we did all went well and was a great place to lay our heads after our busy days of exploring the beautiful sites.

Owner's Response: I am glad you enjoyed your stay. I had sent you fully detailed step by step directions which take you right to the house door and I also check with people before their stay that they have these instructions. I am sorry you were unable to contact me when you tried but the mobile signals must have been down. Kind regards Jacqui
