Nice well equipped 3 bedroom house - quiet rural location with stunning views

The house is charming and set in a rural position close to Portree on the beautiful Isle of Skye. The house can sleep 6 people with three bedrooms including two double (including one with en suite bathroom) and one bedroom with bunk beds which sleeps 2 people in total. There is also a single guest bed which can be set up in any room. Although the house can sleep 7 - it is better suited for 5 if they are all adults.

The house includes a large kitchen/diner with an island, a sitting room with a wood burning stove and a bathroom with a bath and shower enclosure. Outside is a wrap around, enclosed lawn garden with pergola and decking area. There is also paving round the house plus ample off road parking for numerous cars.

The house enjoys beautiful views across Loch Snizort, and is wonderfully situated for a family or group looking to explore this glorious island.

Gas heating, wood burning stove, electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dish washer, washing machine, TV with FreeSat, DVD, CD/radio, WiFi, selection of books, games and DVDs. Fuel and power included in rent. Bed linen and towels incl in rent. Ample off road parking. A welcome basket is included in the price and there is a a toiletry basket in one of the bedrooms.

Beautiful Cottage on Skye

What a lovely place! Cottage met all of our needs. Located close to Portree but not in all the "hubbub" of town. And the view from the back patio was nothing short of magnificent!!!! At night, when it was quiet, you could hear the sheep "baaing" from across the water. Loved our time on Skye and loved this charming cottage.

Delightful home with phenomenal views!

My family and I (4 of us total) had such a lovely stay in this home! It was spacious, cozy, and perfectly located to explore Skye. Plus the views were incredible!!! Jacqui was responsive when we had any questions, and we were close enough to Portree to make food shopping easy. A lovely stay and will stay here again if ever in Skye!

Filthy and not sufficently equipped, expensive

Dear Mr Murchison,

we have just arrived at your guest house (property no. 6584766) in Bernisdale.

Thank you for your welcome letter in which you express that your guests will find everything clean and tidy and ready.

To our regrets – that actually is not the case in many respects. I will name only some examples:

general tidyness in kitchen (the surfaces haven’t been wiped, it‘ sticky everywhere in the drawers, the equipment isn’t sufficient – a big pot for cooking noodles, for example, is not there, the dish washer seems to be partly broken (the upper tray can’t be drawn out without running danger that all falls down), apart from that it’s full of dirty dishes. The cutlery for dinner tonight had to be cleaned before we could use it.

In the bathroom there is no place at all to deposit our toiletries.

There are crumbles on the floor in all rooms – that means the house definitely hasn‘ been hoovered properly.

We do hope that you will react to this mail and, most of all, take care, that the dishwascher can be used.

We really enjoyed the trip down to your house with the beautiful view and hope to spend three great days her.

Beautiful location,warm comfortable house

Correspondence with owner prior to stay was extremely quick and efficient, providing accurate and helpful details of house and directions to it. House was warm, very clean, with an eclectic decor, large kitchen/dining room with everyday essentials available in store cupboard. An Ideal holiday let which we would definitely use again. Loved our stay at this holiday home
