We are located on Abingdon Road, London W8, one of London's premier addresses, and near neighbours to William & Kate (and George & Charlotte) who have moved in down the road. Abingdon Road is a peaceful and quiet street despite being minutes from the centre of things.

If you do not know London well, the old mantra of 'Location, Location, Location' means a great deal in this city. Also look carefully at the size of your rental. Spending a week in a tiny studio apartment or even a small one-bedder can prove to be a little miserable. We are fortunate in being able to offer our guests much more room than most, plus a gorgeous terrace.

We are proud of our apartment; and want you to be as comfortable and relaxed as possible, so we have tried to think of everything. The apartment is located one up from ground and is the entire floor of a converted Victorian house. There is no elevator, but the 15 or so stairs are not taxing.

We have just installed a comfortable king size bed with a luxurious Hypnos mattress and we believe in providing the finest Egyptian cotton sheets, which get many a favourable comment from our guests. Even the large double sofa bed has the same linen and a fully sprung mattress. The bedroom faces the gardens at the rear to ensure that even the lightest sleepers get a good night's sleep.

We have some great local restaurants (check out The Abingdon and W8 Kitchen) and a range of excellent supermarkets within a few minutes walk (Waitrose, Whole Foods etc).

You can also easily walk to High Street Kensington underground station (about 7 mins), the Royal Holland & Hyde Parks, Marks and Spencer, Kensington Palace, or just about any store that you might need.

We are also conveniently located for the Victoria & Albert Museum, the Natural History Museum, Science Museum, the Albert Hall, the National Gallery and the principal sites of London (Buckingham Palace, the Eye, Theatres, The Tate, The Thames Walk etc).

As a result most of our guests are regular visitors, often people who are staying for longer and find regular holiday apartments too confined. We are also very popular with honeymoon couples.

We are happy to provide discounts for single business travellers and those who wish to stay for extended periods.

We always provide a personal check-in so that we can orientate you to the area and help you plan the best way to make the most of your stay. And if you need us, we are at the end of a phone.

Our conservatory has blackout blinds the bathroom features a fabulous overhead rain shower. We also have a flat screen TV and DVD player, a printer and a desk full of London guides and information.

You may have heard that London has a cycle hire scheme - a great way to get around the centre (just ask Arnold Schwartzenegger) – and we have three docking stations within a couple of minutes walk

Plus we can help with cars from the airport, cell phones for your stay, theatre bookings etc.

The property is perfectly located for a visit to London. The neighborhood is quite but with great restaurants, grocery stores, and underground stations nearby. The apartment is very well appointed and maintained. The owners were very attentive. They met us on our arrival and responded in a timely fashion to any needs that arose. They also had great suggestions regarding the local venues. It was a Five Star experience and we look forward to returning on our next trip to London.

Sunny, Beautifully Maintained and Well Located Kensington Flat

Hi Mark,

I just wanted to let you know that we loved the apartment, and had no problems or difficulties during our stay there.

Well organized, clean, comfortable, cheerful and perfectly located, it was everything we could wish for in a London apartment.

In fact, it was our favorite of four that we have rented in London over the past three years.

We hope to return to London again this year, and will be checking with you then to see if it is available.

My husband and I have stayed in Mark and Sophia's flat numerous times over the years. it is in an excellent location,you feel safe in a beautiful neighborhood with markets,restaurants,coffee houses and bars. You are off High Street Kensington with everything at your feet including a close tube stop and the bus system almost depositing you on the front door step.

The flat is perfect for any couple who want a spacious,clean and very comfortable place to stay that is truly better than a hotel. The bathroom is gorgeous as the bed is wonderful.

You are across the street from Holland Park for a great morning walk or just down the road from Kensington Palace and Hyde Park.

Mark and Sophia are perfect hosts and we enjoyed our bottle of champagne for New Years Eve from them :)

Can't complete this review without mentioning Kitchen W8 Michelin starred restaurant just downstairs.

During the week they have a prix fix early menu that is incredible, defiantly worth checking out.

Such a great place to stay and feel at home!!

Again...nearly 10 years on

My husband and I have been staying at the flat nearly every year for about 10 years, with one or two off years.

That pretty much says it all! The new bed is really wonderful, and all the usual amenities provided by Mark and Sophia continue to sparkle. As I've told Mark on numerous occasions, the flat is our home-away-from-home when we are in London, and on the few occasions we have not been able to stay, it's never quite as perfect a visit.

Take this flat!

Excellent stay! Everything just perfect, from the location to the quality of the flat. A very well equiped kitchen invited us to cook, and we could save a lot of $$ eating at home. Spacious bathroom, with first class towels. Very well iluminated living room with the German doors and a marvelous terrace, very handy on summer nights. The location is nothing but perfect, with a Waitrose located over the corner, tube station and Whole Foods Market just 3 blocks away. High Street Kensington has a lot of excellent shops, and Notting Hill is as far as a 10-minute walk. Mark is a very personable guy, and we only regret that we could not pay him a dinner, which BTW would be well deserved. Our stay was the best ever in London, mainly because of this flat.

A great apartment in a great location. In our experience, this was much bigger and more modern than what you would typically get in Europe. very spacious and updated. (bathroom was great). Virtually all tourist attractions were within walking distance or a subway ride away. Mark and Sophia were a pleasure to work with, both in booking the apartment, and with any inquiries we had during our month long holiday. We would definitely recommend this property and would stay here again.
