We are a family of 5 from the UK, with children ages 1, 4. & 6. When we arrived at the house we were met by Roger and Marie-Claude. The house was as described but immaculate and clean, and extremely well equipped, so much so I paid for cleaning in advance knowing it was unlikely we could keep it so.
Although Roger spoke limited English and our French is very basic we managed, and after being showed around we settled in to a fantastic holiday. The kids loved the pool and Roger was happy to come around and help if we needed anything. Roger and Marie-Claude were both very welcoming. The house is much larger than it looked in the photo's and we would recommend it to anyone thinking of staying. You will obviously need a car, and although there is no shop in the village, the bakers delivered bread each morning and it was only a 10 min drive to the next village (Murato) phama, shop, cafe etc. The village does have a restaurant and snack bar (swimming pool and tennis) and stunning views. People were very friendly. The beach was about 25 minutes drive, but very safe for young kids with shelter under trees and a resturant open all day.
The house was a fantastic base for our holiday and the kids loved it.
(Restaurants open after 7.30pm so with young kids we were not able to eat out much but we did enjoy a great freshly made Pizza's from a takeaway van outside Murato Church on Friday evenings (5.30pm)and picnicked on the grass)
I paid the deposit in cash as not having French cheque book, and both the deposit and cleaning money (we did manage to keep it reasonably clean) were returned with no hesitation at the end of our stay.
Perfect, Corsica was beautiful.
