Located at the foot of the Montjuic mountain, which offers a breathtaking view over the city and many parks, the apartment was completely renovated in 2012. Its two balconies overlook a quiet street and a square with trees, and the neat inside offers new and modern equipment in a traditional atmosphere. The neighborhood of Poble-sec is really typical of family life in Barcelona, you will meet few tourists and enjoy a quiet stay after a day of sightseeing in the city. The metro is less than 5 minutes from the apartment and two bus routes within 200 meters will take you directly to the beaches of Barceloneta in 20 minutes or the Ramblas in under 10 minutes.

About frederic noguer
I'm french but fluent in English ;) and live in Barcelona for years now where I run a company dedicated in importing furniture and antiques from India. I will be happy to share my enthusiasm and knowledge about this great city.
frederic noguer purchased this Apartment in 2012
Why frederic noguer chose El Poble-sec
I started with touristic rental 8 years ago while I was living in Amsterdam. I discovered then a real enjoyment to welcome travelers travelers and to share with them my local places and to help them to discover the unusually seen in touristic trips. I know for having traveled quite a lot how important is to have the right contacts in a city !!
What makes this Apartment unique
Great Neighbourhood central and well communicated. Neighbourhood authentically spanish, quiet and... in the last years becoming the bohemian place to be, attracting more and more artists, musicians and self employed young entrepreneurs. Apartment spacious, comfortable et totally equipped.

Great stay with family
Well located. Premises clean and tidy. Kitchen fully equipped with large fridge, dishwasher. Washing machine in apartment. 2 bedrooms. 3 minute walk to Metro
the Pros: excellent communication and check in, close to metro and good grocery options, overall size
the Cons: noisy, lacking in some amenities (eg bottle opener, Nespresso type machine) bed was small and has to be pushed against a wall so you have to climb over your partner in the middle of the night, it seems like it needs a bit of an upgrade
I would not recommend it because I would not go back
Everything as promised. Frederic was helpful.
The apartment was as promised. Metro stop close by, quiet and away from the noise of the more touristy areas. The living room third bed was not very comfortable and the linens for it we're not great. But that's a small thing. Overall I would recommend the apartment.
Great Location - Perfect Apt.
The Apt. was exactly as described. We were met by Fredric who gave us an overview of the area and made some great restautant suggestions. The Apt. Is within walking distance of the Pl. Espanya and an easy Metro ride to all the main attractions Barcelona has to offer. Don't miss the Museum of Art Catalunya and the Magic Fountain just up from Pl. Espanya.
Good markets for food shopping in the area if you want to eat at home or plenty of restaurants within walking distance.
We would certainly return to Fredric's Apt. and would recommend to anyone visiting Barcelona
Nice apartment conveniently located
Our family stayed at Frederic's place for two weeks in late August 2018. The place has a good amount of space for a European apartment and the two bedrooms are private. It is very conveniently located to public transportation. Our kids were at camp at Sanchez Casal and it was an easy bus ride out to the camp near the airport. Groceries are nearby. Blai Street, which is the best place for pinchos in Barcelona is also close. We liked La Tiza and Tafaleta (especially). One benefit of the location is its proximity to the magic fountain and other areas in the nearby park. The kitchen is small but sufficient to cook meals for a family of four. The porch is lovely, but you need to move the table to seat two people at it as the porch is small and walking around the table is not possible. The washing machine is handy. Clothes are dried on a line. There is an overhang, which protects the clothes from light rain, but a sustained rainy period might make laundry more difficult. The water heater was brand new, but for some reason it sprung a leak while we were there. The shower tends to drain slowly, but it was not an important issue in our stay. Frederic was very responsive and easy to work with to get the water heater issue resolved. Overall a good place to stay.
Great neighborhood, great hosts, awesome little balcony.
We had a great stay in this apartment. We highly recommend it for a family such as ours with two kids. The neighborhood is great, and the apartment is close to the metro and to the many restaurants in the area, including the most famous "Tickets." There's a great playground around the corner for the kids and Plaça d'Espanya is nearby.
I'm fluent in english and will welcome you directly at the apartment and will give you all the informations for optimising your stay. I am familiar with Barcelona and its surroundings, do not hesitate to ask me for a good restaurant address or the nearest bike hire and I will be happy to advise you.
